Looking for a lug nut recommendation for running S550 (PP1) wheels on a S197 car. I know the thread size needed, but not sure about the angle of the lug to mate against the wheel. I had heard that the factory S197 lugs won’t work (don’t fit against the wheel properly). I know it’s been done...
I’ve been interested in the exact same thing. Haven’t found anything where it’s been done yet though. Post up if you discover an easy solution with the sensors.
Do I believe that? My personal opinion, based on how I've broken every new car (high performance or otherwise) and bike I've ever owned (which includes two brand new Ducati's that went straight to the track) vs the outcome of said vehicle...absolutely!
Hilarious. I'll tell you this much...there are more post and threads running with guys that are hard core track junkies with no problems than there are guys who coddle the shit out of their car with no problems. And I'm also including guys who went straight from the dealer to the track.
I have the Conti Sports on mine 305 & 325/30 on R spec wheels. No track, but love them on the street. I personally don't see where they give up anything to the Michelin in any category...again, on the street. I will even add this; my car tramlined like a mofo on some freeways around the...
Everyone has already said enough about 1 vs 1 on this topic, thus the moral of the story...DO NOT be scared to run the helloutuvit and enjoy the ever living snot out of this amazing car for some silly fear of something.
This is a great statement! You'll hear quite a few guys bag on ceramic pads and how much braking capability you'll lose with them...on the track. On the street, who cares. If you're fading a quality ceramic pad on the street, even some aggressive mountain driving, you're probably being an...
Couple points to add to this topic...all tires are NOT created equal across the same size. There are huge variations between manufacturers. Tob has Conti EC's in his pics. Relevant because the Conti's run narrow for a 325. They fit more like a 315 on that 11.5" wheel, which is ideal for...
I went shopping to get white/blue stripes, but if they had had grabber blue, to this day I'm confused on what I would have done. I don't regret my purchase, but if backed into a corner, I'd probably have to say grabber blue (no stripes/black roof) is my favorite color.
What about the Extreme Contact Sport compared to the DW? You guys compare the DW to the Michelin, but wonder how the Sport stacks up? I ran across this thread because the R wheel has REEAAALLLY been growing on me. Thinking about getting the 6GR's...but I have one major hang up...
I cannot...
I ordered a regular filter before I discovered I have a cartridge. When that thing showed up, I could not believe how small it was. I’m surprised at the size of both styles for taking care of 10 quarts of oil.
Aaahhh. Nothing too major. The boot for the parking brake is smaller than stock. On the first one, I glued the boot to the boot frame using as much material wrapped over the frame as the stock one. That did not work. After installing the boot back on the car, the material pulled too tight along...
so I still have the console out working on my Shifteck Alcantara boot kit; waiting on another parking brake boot...separate story.
But...I want to drive the car. The center console has that thingamabobber in th cup holder for the key fob scenario. I haven’t started the car or anything, but can...
That tops the worst mark up I had previously seen. Local dealer had an R with a $40K mark up. It sold. No idea on the details of the deal/sale, but she's gone.
