If you’re building an engine specifically for boost, why does it matter what the Cobra R 351 specs are? You only need it to look like an R engine, no one can see the internals.

Keep the original as is for a collector, and buy a new 03/04 cobra rack. Be careful of rebuilt ones, as they get rebuilt with plain Jane parts sometimes. Meaning it won’t be what you want. Just count the turns lock to lock before you purchase it.

No matter what you do, do not turn in your original for a core. Make sure the replacement has the exact same part number and everything as your original. Then you can consider turning in your original.

It would be good to becable to keep the original part. I'm sure that a recall is still considered "original" due to the dealer/factory requirement... but for off the assembly line original, I'd like to keep it as is.
