Yeah, can't trust the system. No tin foil hats but I've dealt with federal government contracting enough to know that 95% of them are inept. No reason to believe other branches of government are different.

I think vmp makes a fuel draining module you plug into obd and will run all of the fuel out. Might speed up the process

I'd 2nd the twin 67 throttle body, I got mine with the kit from vmp and seems like a great piece. Not sure what the pickup would be but I'm sure it'll help especially if you're looking to dial it up in the future

Agree with this, I think I’ve heard around .5 psi lost per 1000’ of elevation increase so you’re probably down 50hp from what you’d see at sea level. Talk to vmp but a smaller pulley would likely still be safe on stock motor given you’re up with the mountain goats.

That’s a serious bummer. Did you install a higher amperage fuse with the BAP? Still don’t think that would cause melting, unsure why the fuse wouldn’t open under higher than normal amperage unless the fuse itself was defective.

Congrats man! I was also a nervous wreck before hitting the key after my vmp and opg install. I did 3 datalogs for vmp and they never sent me a revised tune, it’s typically spot on the 1st time but you should definitely go through the process to be sure everything looks good. Let us know what...
