So over this summer im looking to install a new set of completely setup heads and looking at doing cams at the same time. Everyone suggest degreeing the cams which ill do myself but i was looking at buying cam gears that allow you to change the degree since it has multiple key-ways on them...
You can see the grease by the spring in the bottom (grey stuff). Thinking about it they deff need to be gone through since its a pain in the a$$ to install, dont want to be cheap and find out something is wrong when its too late.
I found a shop that will go through and also do a valve job for...
So I recently picked up a set of 04 cobra heads that have new seals comp cam upgraded springs with steel retainers. The heads look great to me looks like they have been cleaned already but i see some grease which makes me want to get them cleaned again. Should I take them to a shop to make sure...
So i know i don't have a video (prob should've waiting to get one before posting) but i will get a this weekend. This car has had this tick since i bought it 3-4yrs ago and the guy told me its because it has brass valve guides. Me not really thinking believed this guy most likely because i was...
Is there a site i can order a set or is it something like finding a guy on here. Yeah i dont have an old oven to be used the wife would kill me if i use the one we got now lol
So now that Fox lake has closed its doors, is there a shop within my area of Ohio is known to do good work on our heads? I know MHS prob going to be my best place but im trying to say local so i don't end up spending a crap ton of money shipping heads around.
UPDATE:
So he emailed me back, it was a 1969 CobraJet 428. Its been worked on and he still owns it. Good to know its being fixed. Man i thought for sure it was a Shelby but i guess not
Prob even longer, I was born on that street and i remember it in the drive since i can remember time lol. It had old tags on it id say it hasnt moved since 70/80's.
I wrote the guy a letter, my dad still lives by the guy and still see him outside so hopefully he responds to my letter and i...
Every now and than I think about it, figured its a cool story. Its crazy to me that a guy would leave something like that to just sit and rot because it was his brothers car.
I guess it seems like something random to share but maybe someone will find it interesting. Im a hoping that the guy...
So first off like to say my grammar skills are bad so ignore them all lol
Back when i was kid like 10yrs old, a neighbor had a mustang sit in the driveway never driven or started up. I remember riding my bike by it and stopping to take a peep at it. It was almost creepy to me how it looked...
Mine made 662 on the dyno with the 3.75 (i believe) 18.5 psi. Its got long tube headers and full 3" exhaust. Like to go with one step lower pulley but its running good dont want to mess around with it lol
Yeah i know i didnt name the cyl right i just listed like that cause it was easy lol. Same looks like carbon but the plugs are showing that its running hot?
Got around to changing the plugs and oil on the 03 like i usually do in the spring time. This time i bought a camera scope to take a look at my pistons while i have everything apart and I like to get what you all think and what you think about my plugs. To me the pistons some look alright and...
So this summer i like to get the cobra retuned but where i live (Near Cleveland) we don't have shops that are known to tune our type of cars. Last fall i reached out to Wolfpack out in PA but thats a good 2 1/2 hrs away. Really appreciate it if anyone could let me know who is good a bit closer...
So the car is tuned i have a KB 2.8 Mammoth and all the supporting mods for this blower. I posted in another thread about getting retuned so they can check it the idle table is set right. The car was tuned by street leathel back in 2012.
Weird issue Ive been battling since i got the car. It happens at weird time, usually its when i am at a drive through and i leave placing my order once i craw to the window the rpm will bounce and it dies. It will happen sometimes at lights too it doesn't like coming to a crawling stop ha.
I...
Yeah i have a MD Racing Lean Protection Module installed for that protection as well. At 18.5psi it dyno'ed 664whp and 551 torque. Like i said no idea what timing is at so i might just get retuned at the same psi level
