As stated, some of the top dealer mistakes with these cars are:
Incorrectly installed splitter (send them that video, no kidding! Watch it yourself and inspect it when you get there!)
Transport spacers not removed from all four corners
Adjustable Camber Plates missing/not installed/car not...
When I cold start mine I let it come off of the higher idle (about 140 degrees) before I drive it.
2000-2200RPM shifts while all the fluids circulate and get warmed up - it takes a while to get 10 quarts of oil up to 175 degrees.
When oil is up to operating temperature (175-200) I get a little...
1. There is a $5000 price difference between the '19 and the '20. For that $$$ it inherited some steering parts from the GT500. Some say they can tell the difference, some say it's not worth $5K. Also I would venture to say that you're getting a MUCH sweeter deal on that 2019 from a motivated...
I was going to say, the only reason to buy a 2020 over a 2019 is one of the three new exterior colors - and that seems to be your preference.
I've never seen a $12K off MSRP deal on a 2019, but if I did, that cost savings would drive Twister Orange and Grabber Lime right off of my Wish List...
To my knowledge, and I'll gladly accept correction, there is no mechanical difference between a 2019 and a 2020.
The only difference is exterior color - some colors left for 2019 and some new colors were introduced for 2020 - but Oxford White is a constant.
$11K off MSRP? Hell yes I would do it! $55K is the best price I have ever heard on a new 2019 GT350. And a $66K sticker means it has almost every option available.
So many great improvements on the 2019 - and the 2020 is mechanically identical - so there's no advantage to spending that extra...
Engine builders is not reliable - there are pics with both one and two signatures on 2019's.
Here is a pic from a 2019 - I have not seen anyone with a 2020 submit a photo of theirs yet.
No. No way. Not used with a roll bar.
You can find 2019 R's around $5K under MSRP if you look.
I was just goofing around and found this one:
A 2019 R for $4005 under sticker.
It's only $3500 more than I paid for my 2019 Base in April!
Three best options (IMHO): Tech Pack, CF Dash, and...
At $55K you're about $3K away from a new 2019. Lot's of nice things happened between 2018 and 2019.
Totally agree if they stick at $55K. It would have to be low $50's for me to even consider it.
No, not that I know of. The most reliable way is to look under the coil cover and check out the tag.
You didn't mention pricing. There are over 700 new 2019's available in the USA right now. The low price seems to be around $58K. Example: https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/776139776/overview/
So, new is a great thing, but that car is three model years old. Hopefully they've got the...
Every option on an R other than one of the two high-dollar paint colors.
MSRP: $73,595 (They're $20 too low on the cover)
Invoice: $69,913
Holdback: $2,208
Break even/No profit price: $67,705*
(* - They paid $1000 to participate in the Shelby program so they really lose $1000 at this price)
First, the 2019 MY was totally wonky when it came to deliveries. You had a few 2019's hit the dealerships in Feb/Mar, where most of them sat with high ADM's. Then there was a LONG production delay that involved a steering wheel strike in their Mexico factory and defective shift mechanisms from...
I like this article because it clearly establishes, right on the assembly line, that there were different parts for the base 350 and the R. Not a lot, but some.
I think this is all about marketing and the automotive media. Ford wanted the best track tire on the 2019 GT350 that was also street legal. Heck, they even collaborated with Michelin on the compound and the tires are branded "FP"! Automotive magazines and the internet sell more cars than posters...
