I just bought this and am sailing it home tomorrow. She a 1961 Knutson K35 yawl and she's 40' LOA and 10' in beam. She built of mahogany and teak and flat gorgeous.

After 10 long hours of wrenching, we got the Brute to fire. We only ran it a few minutes due to a minor coolant and fuel leak but it ran. No oil leaks, no tappng or rattles. It sounded SWEET uncapped and fairly vicious. I'm gonna take care of the hickies tomorrow and see if I can at least...

I got my race balancer for the Brute. SFI-18.1 rated to 12,500 RPM, not that I'll ever spin that monster that high. I'm still waiting for the install tool to get here and for some warmth so I can get the last motor mount bolt in. Making progress, slowly but surely.

I pulled the motor and tranny again to get the shield, poly mounts and headers on. Man it's tight in there. I've got maybe a 1/4" on each side between the frame and headers. I still don't have the holes lined up but their only about a 1/4 of an inch off since I took the 4' pipe and sledge...
