I bought a replacement air filter for my current JLT for $97, however, they sent me a big air intake air filter.
I can get a JLT super big air intake for $399, is it worth it to spend $300 more for the super big air and just get an entire new setup?
Or the big air intake is $350.
*Disregard...
I'm going to take it to a mechanic. I'd like to take it to my local guy but I may end up taking it to Ford. I'm leaning towards Ford, I figure they have the computers and expertise probably better than my local mechanic.
Also, is there a chance it could be the air filter? I nicked it up...
I drove my car today for the second time since I put the Lund tune on. It feels like it's surging and won't get into boost. And the Air/Fuel Ratio hangs at 20.0 when I let off the gas.
I'm not mechanically inclined so if anyone has some troubleshooting tips I'd appreciate it. Also, is it...
So when I took the JLT off to measure the diameter I had a hard time getting it back on. I wonder if I didn't put it back on the TB correct, could that be something? Also, I sprayed silicone on the bottom part of the JLT, where the filter is to get that part back on, could it be some of the...
Should have got you for the tune, but I had already paid for the Lund tune. Anyway, thanks for the reply, not sure what you're saying, but thanks anyway.
Thanks for the reply. How do I fix that?
I didn't have problems until I took the JLT off to find out what size it is. Maybe I did something to the TB by accident?
Okay, loaded the Lund tune, then took the car out for a quick drive, not far and not fast. I watched the A/F on the stock gauge, it goes as low as 11 and as high as 20. If I'm coasting it'll stay at 20.
Also, the car feels a little jerky now, like it want's you to be on the gas consitantly...
Got my tune from Lund today. I haven't loaded it yet, I'm studying for a test next week.
Anyway, below is what he said when I asked if I should data log. So if all is good, I'll keep the car as is for a little while before my next mod.
"There is no need to datalog. The JLT is set maf...
Wow! This blew up! Thanks for the replies and assistance. Like I mentioned, I bought the car already modified so it was already tuned. Should I get a tune, sure sounds like it!
To answer some ?'s that were asked:
I have no idea what spark plugs are in the car currently.
I do not know how...
I know the car was tuned from the first owner. I'd go with Lund for a tuner, I've used them before and I still have my nGauge.
I've asked Lund what all is required for a tune so I can take care of anything needed before placing an order for a tune.
As far as I can tell it's still the stock...
I've been in contact with the first owner. The second owner I haven't been able to track down, but I did FB stock him and asked a friend of his about the car. The friend said the second owner didn't do anything mod wise to the car. If that's true then what's in my signature block is what has...
When I bought the car it had the mods listed in my signature block but it didn't come with a hand held so I don't know what tune/tunes were on it previously.
I thought I read somewhere that it's recommended to get a new tune in this situation to make sure everything is okay.
The car drives...
Okay, I ordered a Lund tune but I'm now having second thoughts. I bought my 2014 in May and have had zero issues with it. Now that I started ordering a tune it has turned into I need to change plugs and gap size too. Lund recommended "Please get some NGK TR7 Plugs with .028 Gap done to them."...
I'm going through the steps to order a Lund tune, one of the questions on the form is what size is my JLT, 123mm or 148mm.
I hope this doesn't sound too stupid, but how do I measure that?
Thanks
Hey! That's cool, I didn't know that was you! I watched your video before buying my 2014 GT500, very good info.
Anyway, thanks for the video, it helped me when I was looking for a GT500.
Probably not what you're looking for but I had a Dynavin N7 in my 2013 and loved it!
Anyway, here's a link if you'd like to take a look: Ford Mustang 2010-2014
I got my car ceramic coated. Took almost two weeks to get it back, but it's beautiful! There was a small area of paint missing on one of the rear stripes by the bumper so they ordered two new stripes from Ford. Anyway, they did a great job! I love it!
