Probably because it's located in NY. Is practically in jail up there with all the tolls on the highways...it would be like paying bail to get it out. Long live the grift in the northeast...
Aha...answered my own question. If you're intent on keeping the Gerodisc, you'll likely have to have that axle rebuilt unless you know the GKN part number:

Is there a difference between the 00R and the 03/04 units? If there is, it might be in spline count? The 01 and 03/04 shafts are 31s inner and 28s outer...99 Cobra is 28/28. Or is the inner stub different due to the viscous coupling differential?
There are plenty of 03/04 shafts out there, if...
Great price for someone looking for a MM front end that is installing a Modmotor with a Hellion turbo kit! MM makes those to order I think, the backorder time can be a factor.
I understand why you'd be surprised when more people didn't jump on that...however in my particular case that giant cell drags on just about everything in my area, that was how it bit the dust years ago...the asphalt eventually scraped a hole in a corner and it began leaking (fun, fun). Paying...
Any interest in selling the rear coilover kit without the shocks? I already have a pair of race MM black series I will be using. I'm assuming they are both MMCO-22?
For a contemporary price point, I thought $900 was fair for a new pair of calipers like these about 90 days ago when I purchased. I'm assuming that these actually are R model calipers with differently sized pistons? They are sized that way for a reason.
Great information, Tom. Greatly appreciated! I didn't think it was a 0.87 stock but wasn't sure. I did spot that vent on the shifter but didn't know it was specific to the R model.
This was news to me, so I hope I can get some clarification.
As we all know, lots of BS gets spread around, especially online. Somebody claims that the TR3550 has an R-spec for the 95 R, where the 5th gear is 0.87 instead of the "standard" 0.68. It's been a while since I've driven #181, and...
No replacement required...I'm going to be tuning and datalogging, and needed the lb/hr size on the injectors. They're in good shape, just have some age on them is all.
Oh also, in case someone is referencing this post in the future...the cross-reference for the stock Ford injector is a...
Figured it out...stock injector size is 24lb (that's what I thought I remembered, but the ol' wetware sure is getting flaky lately), light blue in color. Part number is Bosch 0280150947.
Having difficulty determining the stock injector size on #181. It spent years prowling around in Fort Myers FL, so due to heat I believe the color of the injectors have faded. They look grayish-green, or greenish-gray. Couple this with my red-green colorblindness, and I'm at a loss.
New 42lb...
I'm on the web quite a bit during the day (occupational hazard) and occasionally find myself surfing the net for one thing or another. In this case I found a really old advertisement for a 95R that sold decades ago. I believe it had been owned by a marque club president (Shelby Owner's...
Just in case the next owner is still watching this thread...
I'm fairly sure this is the car that spun off turn 6 at Road Atlanta. It rotated several times and struck the wall with the rear end.
The car had recently had front pads replaced (6-pot calipers IIRC) and experienced green fade, but...
Hi Tom, yes I have a pic or 2...but it's exactly like any other R. I prefer to keep it visually low key. The only thing that really would be externally distinguishable would be the race numbers and lack of roll-up door glass. Race prep hasn't begun in earnest yet, too many other things going on...
Thanks 598, any additional avenues for information on this is greatly appreciated.
Meanwhile, I actually got a reply from Dave! Hopefully he'll be able to dig up some information or provide a few details on setup.
Thanks for that, I might have to. Meanwhile I've found Dave on the evil FB. I've reached out, hopefully he can still provide some information nearly 20 years on.
I admit the title is probably a bit cryptic, my apologies.
In 2003, Dave Schotz campaigned a 95R in the SCCA Nationals in ESP. He didn't have to extensively modify the car, it was very much a list of bolt-on parts that won him an ESP National title that year for ESP and ranked him #71 on the...
I remember one similar to that description that somebody outfitted as a HDPE toy. Went waaaaaaay overboard with mods, one of those was the supercharger. The other was a really snazzy set of 6 pot front calipers. One provided more than enough go, but unfortunately the front brake pads on those 6...
