Increasing caster via offset bushings is another great way to reduce or eliminate the chance of death wobble. These trucks are really low on caster from the factory.
I think in this case, the truck had been just sitting there, with people revving it up and idling it all day. I'm sure it will get better than 5.1 mpg real world.
I would title the video, "wanna piss off your wife" :) My wife would kill me if I made her sit in the bad seat lol.
This trick is especially useful for people whos driver seat is not in as bad of shape as that one is.
We had an 05 F150, and an 06 Expedition, both with the 3v 5.4. Ran them both u til about 120k before upgrading. Literally not one single problem with either vehicle. I ran the Motorcraft 5-20 blend, changed at 5k intervals on the Expedition, and 3k interval on the truck, as it got more towing use.
Congrats man! I'm in a similar boat, sold my last Cobra 10 years ago. Currently just getting starteds shoppingfor a terminator to put in the garage of our new house that we'll finish building this summer.
Hah! Figures my dream car would go up for sale, at a price I can afford, at the only point in my adult life when I can't actually buy it (building a new home).
Hopefully this goes to someone who will truly appreciate it and love it, and not to someone looking for a quick flip.
