I don't have the dyno sheets on hand, but the car ran out of fuel pump on 18lbs using a 3.3 pulley and a 10% OD balancer. I'm running a stock fuel system with a Walbro 400 pump. Final numbers with the wastegate set at 15lbs were 550/430 on a 3.1 pulley. I have an SSR stage 2 short runner so...
My 96 Cobra initially made 596rwhp/450rwtq with 18 pounds of boost on 91 Octane. We installed a wastegate and capped the boost to 15 and it made around 550. The motor is built with 9:1 compression.
I was changing the oil today and noticed oil residue on the intercooler piping. I checked around the head unit and saw oil around the discharge side. Any ideas what the problem could be?
Car seems down on power to me. For reference, my 96 made 550rwhp at 15 pounds with a T-Trim on 91 Octane. Car has B heads with stock cams and 9:1 compression. On the first pull, the car actually made 590rwhp at 18psi.
Upgrading the A/C condenser is just as important as the radiator when upgrading the cooling on a 96. If you still have the stock 96 piece, that's a big part of your problem. Also, if you're running an under drive pulley on the water pump, that's not helping your cooling either.
Not the best pictures since I just pointed my phone down there but here is my setup on a 96 Cobra.
Just to get an idea where everything is located, in the second photo, you can see the bypass valve tucked in the corner behind the driver's side fog light. Before the waste gate , the car...
I have not tried that but I thought that method has no effect on a fuel injected car? Correct me if I'm wrong. Honestly, it might be an injector leak. When I shut the car off, I do smell a little hint of gas when I get out the car. I did the blower install in November and the problem...
The car starts right up when cold but if I drive around for 30 min or so, it has a hard time turning over. Any ideas? IAC valve? Coil Pack? Other fuel related issue? You can hear the car cranking fine, it just struggles to turn over. Car is a 96 Cobra with a Vortech.
Thanks
I'm having an issue with my T56 getting stuck in gear while slowly rolling to a stop. Once the car stops, I have to either physically pop it out or hold the clutch in till the car gets rolling again. Does anybody have an idea what this could be? Tranny or Clutch issue? It seems the slower...
Going to be installing a Vortech T-trim on my car and planning to run about 12 pounds of boost. Right now all I have is the head unit, bracket, and coolant cross over. I compiled a list of what I think I will need but would like to get input on if I'm missing anything, or if I should upgrade...
What's the best method or product I can use to bring the wheels back to life? I've only used Meguiars All wheel cleaner when washing and Poorboys wheel sealant a couple times so I'm not sure what caused this. Wheels are Satin Black HREs that are maybe 4 years old. I'll post a picture tonight...
I just installed a Mcleod RST twin disc and everything seems to be fine except I have a loud rattle when the clutch is not engaged. I thought it would be a simple fix with the firewall adjuster, but the noise is there whether the adjuster is turned clockwise or counterclockwise. Is this a TOB...
I borrowed a friends SLR and took some pictures before I had to give it back. This is the first time I've ever shot with one so go easy on me. I left the camera on auto focus and just left the F Stop on what my buddy had it set to. He uses the camera mostly for taking head shots so I figured...
Pretty sure mine is starting to go out as the car will crank over slowly, skip a little, and sometimes freewheels where it sounds like its cranking too long. The battery and alternator are fairly new and voltage is normal. I hear the starter is not easy to get to and the top bolt can be a real...
How would you guys get these out? Wheel centers are brushed aluminum with a clear coat and the scratches/scrapes are inside the lug holes. Could I use Meguiars scratch x? Or are there better products? Or am I sh*t out of luck?
Thanks
I have for sale two Michelin PS2 tires in a 255/35/19. I bought the tires this week and put less than 50 miles on them. I didn't like how the 255s looked on a 19 X 8.5 inch rim, so I stepped down to 235s. I paid close to $800 for tires ($340 each) and willing to let them go for $500 OBO...

I'm having custom wheels made and the company is asking for the part number of my 00R calipers to check fitment. I went to the Brembo website and their contact info number was out of service :bs: Does anyone know where I could get the part number? I'm assuming the Ford part number will do...
