I see you have a P1SC listed in your mods, but I'm only familiar with the single-blade throttle body Accufab issues on the 01 since I had to remove mine. Come to find out that the unit was never designed for boosted applications as it's not clearanced correctly for higher intake temps - causing...
That's interesting... never knew those were in that great of demand and/or rare. You know, I just sold my 03 Cobra with 40k miles on the ticker (I was the original owner) and thanks to this post, I remembered that I had also purchased a matching 03 Cobra Dark Shadow Gray Maisto 1:18 diecast...
He's saying that the people who want this are gay... but thought making a little joke about it would make it more OK. I didn't laugh, but I did find it odd no one else made the connection yet. I guess those years living in the San Francisco Bay Area didn't all go to waste ;-)
Good reading on this subject -----> https://www.svtperformance.com/threads/pro-charger-or-not.1192292/#post-16532506
I went Procharger - have some fun! I'll up my game later, no rush.
Just a couple of suggestions... On supporting mods, I wouldn't do without the MMR top Head cooling mod (back in the day when I did mine the LDC cooling mod was the only game in town) and the Procharger 3 core intercooler for good peace of mind. Also, it's not a bad idea to set your shift point...
I have the Spec Stage 2... have similar experience. Normal stuff until you get some miles on it. I still have a bit of chatter when reversing, quite tolerable as it's not a daily driver. You might want to install an adjustable clutch cable with quadrant and firewall adjuster to help get the...
You should be able to duplicate that sticker on your computer with word or adobe photoshop - you can grab a pic to substitute for the drawing, add the text and bar code to make your own from scratch. Cover it with some clear laminate and there you go! You probably need a good image to start...
I had a similar problem with overheating/engine cooling - might check to see if you have an intermittent intercooler pump. The coolant in the intercooler tank should be constantly turbulent... mine stopped flowing occasionally and that's all it took. What's odd here is that my Cobra is also a...
I noted you said your goal was to be louder "at idle"... seems to me that what you are wanting is just as much related to the tone of the exhaust note as you are the decibel level. For most people, the lower the note the louder the sound appears to be. I've got two mustangs (see sig for mods)...
Here's some options for you...…… Best Plastic Restorer 2020 | Restore Faded Car Trim & Bumpers
I've only used Mothers Back to Black - never an issue, works good.
Got tired of the old Cobra Rs - had them since 1 month after I bought the 01 (my first mod) so I decided it was well past time for them to be replaced with something that has a little more bling, deep dish, 18", and with some better grip out back. After doing a lot of searching and trying to...
Well, just got off the phone with NextGen Autosport.... my 01 Cobra build is almost comeplete (just a few things left to do) but Dan let me know the numbers that the new combo put down.
451.0 RWHP - 404.0 RWTQ
Not too bad for a stock bottom end 4.6 4-valve running only 8 pounds of boost...
Went by today to check on the progress of the build... today they are going to install the chrome alternator & LDC Cooling mod - and Saturday they will be installing my personally favorite mod of the build, the Procharger :D
Pretty happy with the look of the engine bay so far (had a bunch...
I've decided to go blown, and for what I'm planning that's going to require forged internals. Looking for some advice on what would be a good platform to start with. I like the 324 stroker from VT (but the 10 to 12 week turnaround is a little bit of a problem) - but I also like the Liveronis...
Your sig pic sir - hope you like :-D
Sorry that it took so long to make it... been very busy the last couple of weeks and this is the first chance I've had to get to this. My appologies for the delay.
All the best,
Mark.....
OK - here's the story.......
Last week I was driving the wife to her appointment at the doctors, and I spy what is unmistakeably the front of a new model Corvette in my rear-view. So I decided to go a little slower then normal to allow Mr. Vette a chance to catch up - which he did. Too bad...
I replaced my wrecked 03 with.... another 03 Cobra :burnout:
After our first Cobra was totalled.. things just weren't the same at the old homestead. I couldn't wait any longer - so we went down and finally got another one. Actually since we wanted a Dark Shaddow Gray one, we had to act now...
It's a very long story - but I'll try to be as brief as I can and tell you what occured.
First & foremost, the wife is OK except for some scratches, a lot of brusis, and a pretty messed-up sholder that she will be going into surgery for tomorrow morning to get fixed. She was pretty shaken up...
I did what I could with the over-exposed video. Cars that were dark color came out prety much OK... but the light colored cars (silver & yellow) came out looking almost white. All-in-all, the post-processing vielded some acceptable results for internet video - still trying to tweek it for VHS...
