Help me choose a new touring vehicle

Have you looked at the Toyota 4Runner? If you go up the model range, the 4Runner gets Toyota's KDSS suspension system and SofTex type 'leather' on the seats which are quite comfortable esp in the winter and summer. The 4Runner Limited edition offers real leather and some other upgrades. The...

Anyone have vintage camper knowledge, Silver Streak

Sorry to hear about your dad, hopefully he will have a quick recovery. They don't make trailers like this anymore, and if the the frame and structure are sound, it will make an excellent project for someone. Good luck, hope you find a buyer soon, looks like a great find.

Anyone have vintage camper knowledge, Silver Streak

I would think that there's a unique market for these, and there's potential to have a nice little sum of money for your parents if they decide to sell. Just a couple of links I found for Airstream, but the idea is the same 5 Vintage Trailer Restoration Principles | Airstream how to...

    Washington DC in the spring

I can highly recommend two areas because A) You won't need a car, B) very close to DCA and, C) very kid/family friendly. Check out Crystal City. There are many good hotels all within walking distance to the Metro. Crystal Drive and 23rd Street have very good restaurants for kids and adults, and...

Looking for the owner that bought my used Black GT350 from Koons Ford, I have parts for you.

Thought I'd bump my post, with the hope of finding the new owner of my car. Chassis number H4797 I have the complete owners kit and both Ford Racing oil-air separators, free...with free delivery. I'd hate for the new owner not to at least get the owners kit.

Any Dave Ramsey fans in here or financial gurus? Need advice..

Any advisor is going to be 'conflicted'. Starting with Fidelity was a suggestion, then shop other advisors and see which one is the best fit. As they say... 'The more you know'.

Any Dave Ramsey fans in here or financial gurus? Need advice..

1st of all, congratulations on being proactive and involved with your investing and thinking about your future. My first recommendation would be to buy 'The only investment guide you will ever need', by Andrew Tobias. It was written in 1978, and has been updated many times. It's an easy read...

Looking for the owner that bought my used Black GT350 from Koons Ford, I have parts for you.

Thanks, they'll just colect dust otherwise. I have the owners kit, the factory x-pipe with resonators, and Ford Racing oil separators. ( The separators are a must have, the one side pulled quite a bit of oil.)

Looking for the owner that bought my used Black GT350 from Koons Ford, I have parts for you.

Hope it's ok to post this here, I've gone through a few ways that I know to try to contact the new owner, but didn't get very far. I'm hoping they might be on here. I sold the car to Koons Ford in Falls Church, VA with 1,600 miles, 2017 Shadow Black. Anyway, I've got some parts, including the...

Getting out of the game for a while, sold my car back to the dealer

Thanks for all the replies. Yeah, I've been into cars all my life and while living in Western PA, I was able to get the cars out without much thought about traffic. But here in the NoVA area, I found myself having to plan my moves a bit more as to when to leave to avoid traffic even on the...

    Resonator delete question

I agree about Shiftek, excellent quality, easy install and easy to swap back if you want. I don't have a Sawzall, but I did use an exhaust pipe cutting tool I bought off of Amazon. The tool makes a super clean cut with no mess. I did use a grinder to get the clamps off the heat shield though...

Getting out of the game for a while, sold my car back to the dealer

Well, I never thought it would happen with this car, but I sold it back to the dealer last week. I've had a lot of toys over the years, from Mustangs to VWs and back to this car, the GT350. Of all of the cars I thought I would have kept for a long time, it was going to be this one, but at the...

Oil pan replacement on 93 F150 that could turn into a big job

The thought did cross my mind, but after reading other forums, this is a pretty common occurrence with these pans and at some point it'll just start leaking through. Right now, mine looks like I could take apply a little pressure with my finger and it'll pop through, I'd say half the depth of...

Oil pan replacement on 93 F150 that could turn into a big job

So I decided to bite the bullet and get the work done. After I had stopped by the shop that usually does the work on my truck, and I didn't really get that good feeling that they really wanted to tackle the job, I stopped by the local Ford dealer as a last chance. I spoke to the service manager...

Oil pan replacement on 93 F150 that could turn into a big job

Thanks for all the replies. I had the truck at the shop last week for a state inspection and to get the pan replaced. He did the inspection but didn't get around to the pan. He knows what's involved with the job, and I think in the back of his mind he knows where it could lead. I don't blame...

Oil pan replacement on 93 F150 that could turn into a big job

Hey all, I need some advice from those with prior experience and some suggestions for alternatives. I own a 93 F150 with the inline 4.9 with 110,000 miles which will need a new oil pan, it's pretty rusty and it's just a matter of time before it decides to leak all over the place. Obviously, if...

Comparing F150s XL vs XLT and have a question

Yeah, the supercab looks like it will fit the bill. As someone else had mentioned, I can always drop the tailgate for longer stuff.

Comparing F150s XL vs XLT and have a question

Thanks for this^ I started expanding my search and found quite a few XLTs and Lariats with this configuration at year end pricing that I'm going to check out. The few times that I would use the 8' bed vs the convenience of having space behind the front row for stuff is much better. 6.5' bed...

Comparing F150s XL vs XLT and have a question

Thanks for all the replies and insight. I was pretty much under the same impression that the XLT would be the one to get vs the XL, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

Comparing F150s XL vs XLT and have a question

I'm looking at buying a new F150, standard cab with an 8' bed in the Northern VA area. These new trucks seem to be priced in the low 20s for the XL, and mid 20s for the XLT. But, the one thing I've noticed, is that the XL price then jumps to high 20s and low 30s. So my question is this, why...
