Yeah the timing of the purchase couldn’t have been better.. They’re prices have really started to take off. I just had the car appraised in order to increase the insurance coverage on it. Let’s just say the car is worth more than double what I paid 5 years ago.
It’s been a long time since I’ve posted but thought you guys would appreciate the photos.
This is my 68 with 38,000 original miles, original interior, original paint (except for the hood and deck lid.) I bought the car 5 years ago now and finally got around to getting high quality pictures taken.
Was planning on hitting the track on my street prepped R1. Surfing FB marketplace I stumbled on an 8k mike 2006 GSXR1000 track prepped bike. It’s been a few years since I’ve been to the track and wanted another pure Race Bike. So I picked it up.
Not trusting anyone that says “it’s good just...
If you have FB go to the Detroit Speed page there are several posts. They also mention that the car is featured in the January 2020 issue of Monthly Mustang Magazine.

Anyway, the new custom gauges from New Vintage USA came in today. Exceeded even my high expectations... Quality, fit and finish are amazing. On...
Really looking forward to seeing it finished. I will build a Superformance GT40 hopefully in the next few years. I just hope the new movie doesn’t persuade Superformance raise prices too high since I’m sure their chassis’s will without a doubt see an increase in demand after the Ford v Ferrari...
You’re right, I forgot they did have a special DOHC for the C4ZR1. So that seems likely they’ll do the same with this car.
That would be nasty.
I’ve never been a big Chevy fan but this car might persuade me to join the club..
Judging from the leaked sheet showing 32 valves, and that rendering, it looks like they’re finally going the DOHC route, at least most likely for the Z06 and ZR1 anyway. Still offering a SC 6.2 pushrod motor with 755hp, the C8 is going to be a monster.
Or
Maybe the 6.2L 755hp SC pushrod motor...
