    Radio Upgrade Time

All finished up. I installed a 22ah battery, and battery isolator. Reason for the isolator is the resting voltage of the battery up front is roughly 12.5, and the lithium is 13.5 or so. To prevent the agm battery from leeching off the lithium the isolator disconnects the lithium from the circuit...

    3.0 Whipple Question

I do but I am also running K member spacers from when I had my 3.4 on there.

ad some time to play around with the system for a while. The J2Fab 270 alternator, and XS3400 battery have made a big difference. Most music plays pretty well with very little voltage drop. One thing I did notice is on strong, quick bass hits there is still pretty good voltage drop. Doing a bit...

Total eclipse this coming Monday, April 8.

Cleared up right at the last minute. There was some stratus clouds but still got a fantastic view of the Suns Corona. It was pretty awesome.

Total eclipse this coming Monday, April 8.

I'm about 3-4 miles from the centerline just a little west of Cleveland, so I have a front row seat. It will be really cool for sure, but I'm glad it will be over so everyone can stop talking about it lol.

    Radio Upgrade Time

Hitting the home strech. Battery & alternator installed, finishing up some wiring on the MS3. I have gone through a lot of zip ties to keep everything clean. This is the last rats nest to clean up. Also I installed a maf delete plate. [emoji106] I'll get the car out and run through some...

    Radio Upgrade Time

I have a single 0 gauge going back to the trunk that is running the amps, fuel pumps. Eventually I'll get a seperate 8 or 4 gauge back there to put the pumps on. For the grounds I have everything grounded seperate.

More parts today. J2Fab 270 amp alternator and a XS3400 battery. I had to modify the battery tray slightly and install a post to make the battery fit nice and snug.

What did you do for your Terminator today?

Been busy with the car the last couple weeks. I started a car audio thread on what I'm doing, but that project has led to other things. Today, I dug the MS3 out of the kick panel to wire in / activate a couple remaining features I had on the list. 1st was the fuel pumps. I currently had them...

Good point! Maybe I'll data log and take a closer look at what's going on before I throw the new stuff in.

Roughly 3500-4000 watts. Also I'm thinking the MS3's power supply must not be regulated as I've never had a car stumble from a voltage drop during a bass hit.

    Radio Upgrade Time

Finally got to take the car out, went to a empty parking lot and played around with the system a bit. Definetly need more power. Using my volt meter during bass hits / test tones voltage drops into the 12 volt range pretty easy and the amp does go into protect. Also the ms3 does not like voltage...

    Radio Upgrade Time

After doing a bit of research, looks like need to upgrade my under hood battery to a agm. And throw a Lithium battery in the mix. I was not wanting to add a second battery but these lithium power cells are very small and easy to hide, and obly weigh 7 lbs or so. I can deal with That.

    Radio Upgrade Time

I was debating a old school build with 2 kicker S12d/c's or Rockford RFP-1212's and a old school amp like a HCCA 275, punch 50m, Art Series A1200 ect. Never had Orion back then so it appeals to me now. Anywho reccomondations on a 270-300 amp alternator for our cars?

    Radio Upgrade Time

Brings back memories. One I had 4 12's walled off in a Geo metro. Since it only has the 3cyl engine I couldn't get it to go over 75mph bacause of the weight lol. 4 12's run off a Hifonics series VIII Zeus, then a Audio Art 100hc. Man wish I had never sold those amps.

Lol. The only way I'm running that is if I buy a serious setup and install it in a $500 car [emoji1787]

    Radio Upgrade Time

Old school for sure lol. So when I start to really crank it up the amp goes into protect and the car studders. I'll need to bust out the ol volt meter to see how bad voltage drop is. Next up will be a new and much better battery under the hood, and bigger alternator....kmj alternator 200 amp...

Subs came in. Stereo integrity SQL-12's. They are works of art! I'll be running them in .89 cuft sealed enclosures. Holes were a hair smaller then what I needed so I had to shave them slightly. Tomorrow I'll set the amp gains and run the tunning software. During initial testing the license plate...

    Radio Upgrade Time

So far so good. Sound quality using the digital output sounds great, screen is bright and sharp. Software is smooth and quick. I'll have more time to play with it today and tomorrow.

    Radio Upgrade Time

It's not bad at all. I ran power wire down 1 side and RCA / signal wire down the other side. The trim panels come off pretty easy and there's plenty of room for the wiring. Subwoofers arrive today so I'll get some pics later. After I pop those in I'll start the long but fun tuning process.

Pic Real Dash in operation. Works fantastic. They have tons of custom dashes and you can design your own. I like the minimal view.

    Radio Upgrade Time

Playing around with the software. This is really fun. For the sound correction you can use a iPhone via Bluetooth or a seperate microphone and laptop. I'll probably try both ways. This should really help as the mustang interior is no Bueno for sound quality. Having the android head unit is...
