That’s what I’m confused about....trying to burp manually I’ve kept the reservoir closed and used the crossover tube. With this new tool is it the reservoir tank only?
I purchased the Airlock coolant refill system to use on my 97 cobra. Anyone that has used this have any tips or tricks? I’m guessing you put it in the radiator overfill rather than the crossover tube? Thanks.
I’ve posted some questions and got great advice here over the last year after I purchased a 97 cobra that was severely neglected. Here are some before and after shots during the “refresh” to try and get it back to its former glory. For the bumpers, I sanded down and used the duplicator...
Thanks for the info. I currently own a 2006 Gallardo and am considering selling as we need something with 4 seats with kids wanting to go everywhere I go now.
I have read comments that the 2019 and up GT350s do not have the oil consumption issues that the earlier models had and thus not at risk of having to receive a replacement engine. Can anyone verify this is true or is the issue still randomly a problem? Starting to shop for a used model and am...
The car is throwing the following codes:
P1443
P1131
P1151
P0308
P0171
P0174
Things I have replaced in recent months since owning the car:
-new front O2 sensors
-new clutch
-new MAF
-rebuilt imrc, with new upper/lower intake gaskets
-new ntk plugs (plug wires were replaced shortly before I...
I put a mirror behind the intake and can see the cables moving around the 3000rpm mark and the imrc plates were just removed and cleaned so that rules that out.
Verified it does have 4.10 gears and had a buddy drive it who used to own one in stock form and did confirm it is way down on power. It runs good with no hesitation on acceleration so not sure where to start on trying to track this problem down.
I really need to check to see what gears it actually has as I was going off info from the prior owner (also said it had long tubes but they are completely stock)!
So I’ve been driving the car around after cleaning the IMRC plates and verifying the controller is working and it just feels like this car is lacking power. I don’t have other cobras in the area to compare to so maybe some can chime in here. Shifting pretty hard from first to second will leave...
Thanks. I used aircraft stripper to remove old coating then rustoleum self etching primer and then a high temp wheel paint. It’s holding up great so far and only took a few hours and about $30 total. I’m curious about long term results but I think it will do fine.
Called the svt line today they will only give out the build number, to get the date I will have to buy the certificate. Will post up once I get that, but my build number is 1953.
It is OE. From what I’ve read it’s the epoxy the factory used. Brake cleaner did wonders on getting some of this clean. I’m going to go ahead and pull the valve covers and get them and the upper intake redone since I already have it down the far. One of the plug holes had some oil in it so...
So Ive been using brake cleaner to clean the upper/lower intake and IMRC plates and due to carelessness got a small amount on the top coated area of the upper intake and now have about a quarter-sized area where the coating has bubbled. What are my options? I don’t know of a good powder coater...
