brackets and pucks sitting next to my stock spoiler
Mounted on trunk
Next I had to make sure of mount hole locations in correct spot. The trunk has a slight contour so I had to mock up the wing in pressboard and cut out some angled gussets to replicate the bends as close as a I could...
I got tired of not finding anything I like aftermarket for our stangs. So being a design engineer, I'm making my own (well trying to anyways). I didn't want to modify my trunk deck either so I utilized factory bolt locations on the trunk (gt style wing), sorry 03-04 cobra owners, this is a wing...
I tried finding out this answer as well. I think the final manufacturing is done here in the US (flow forming, final machining and finishing). The aluminum wheel casts (before the flow forming process) are probably imported (just guessing). I don't know if this "cast" would qualify as a "raw...
I don't really have a reason. I don't really have any issues with the MM set up. I want to eventually run some autox events but car got side lined for a couple years and am just now getting back into working on it (I took a new job had to relocate, buy a house etc etc). I guess it's more of a I...
I liked bronze and the brushed gunmetal gloss. I'm thinking brushed gunmetal gloss. I'm also adding stop techs big brake kit. Yellow calipers should pop pretty well against them I'm thinking
So I am getting a set of F14's and want some opinions choosing which finish to match against my silver cobra. Pic of a silver cobra with F14's below and also a pic of my cobra (2001). I'm looking at custom sets on flickr from getyourwheels.com. Choices I like below.
- Matte Golden Bronze

Any idea of what there goals are? Are they trying to up there quality? USA supplier? I knew that they were made in China, wasn't aware of the peeling issues. It'd be nice if they could create a light weight forged cobra rep in 18" and 9/10-11 widths in various finishes. I'd pay CCW pricing for a...
Yeah, I emailed them a week ago and haven't heard anything. I guess I'll try to give them a call next week. Everything on the site says they are out of stock.
Gotcha. Since I have bullitt's on mine, I guess I'm just a dumb domestic wheel guy. I guess that fourth wheel, since it's a toss up, can be some RPF1's, or maybe some RK's, but only the one's that are 10" wide for the rear, or it could be some TE37's, but what do I know?
I just don't get it. IMO, the 03-04 cobra wheels look great, just not @ 17" dia. Most aftermarket wheels are just too noisy, too much design going on. I like simple clean lines. Cobra wheels do that. Is AFS wheels still in business? That's the only company that I know of that made 18" dia reps...
When I rebuilt mine, I put 03-04 shafts in. With the upgraded bushings, you should be fine anything under 600hp. What bushings did you go with? You might as well upgrade everything since you have the IRS out if you have the money. I did FTBR full kit + MM coilovers and powdercoated everything...
I saw this posted on a "cobrasonly" fb page. Never seen this chin spoiler before. Does anyone have any other shots of this from maybe the side or an angle? The mach1 and 03-04 chins have never done it for me on the 99-01 bumper. But this one seems to look pretty good. Any info would be great!
These wheels are just taking up space, I'm curious what fellow new edge owners have sold there stock cobra wheels for? Specifically the polished ones found on 01's. What would be a fair asking price for just the wheels, no tires, in good condition, a little curb rash on one of the wheels.
I figured I'd post pics of my IRS build. I had a differential leak that I finally got around to fixing. And it kind of snowballed out of control.
Removed and filthy
Stripped to the bare frame.
FTBR complete kit!
Back from powdercoating.
Like the title stats, my e-brake is pretty loose, I need to pull the handle all the way up for it to engage. Is there a way to tighten it?
I looked online for replacement e-brake cables and am finding nothing for 99-04 cobras. The ones I can find exclude our cars.
Been awhile since I've posted here in SVT but I'm finally getting back into wrenching on my cobra. I'm going to be rebuilding my IRS to handle higher hp levels when I eventually have the motor built. I've already ordered FTBR complete kit, but not sure about the half shafts and diff. My goal is...
I want to get the 03/04 chin spoiler/lip and the only place i can find it online is late model restoration for 196 bucks!! Does anyone know where I could get it any cheaper?? I also could not find any carbon fiber ones. I think it would look good on my silver 01 bumper.
