I saw this gauge pod listed for sale on FB. Don't know who makes them, but I haven't been able to locate it anywhere. It's nice cause it has a spot for a shift light and the gauges are right next to each other toward the front making it easier to see.
I just bought a ported VMP 2.3 from my buddy that never got a chance to install it on his Cobra before he sold the car. I did some reading, and asked a few people, and they all said to see the most from these ported small blowers is run high boost, so I plan on running a 2.8 upper and a #6 lower...
I would think the 2000 R calipers would be slightly smaller considering that the ATS caliper uses (4) 42mm pistons vs (2) 36mm pistons and (2) 40mm pistons for the 2000 R.
I don't know about the Whipple's, but I've been seeing the VMP 2.3 go for around $3,500 give or take. And they seem to sell somewhat quickly. The ones I don't see move that quick and sell for less are the Whipple 3.4s. I would think the 2.9s would be an easier sell though. I've seen people post...
They must be buying them on eBay. eBay is hit or miss these days on supposed OEM products. But Amazon is getting bad too. One item I would especially avoid buying from either eBay or Amazon are spark plugs. They have been making counterfeit spark plugs and selling them on these sites for years...
Paid $20,500 Nov. 2016 for my Sonic Blue Cobra with about 59,500 miles. Had to drop another $8-9K one month after buying it due to it dropping a valve seat. The shop that rebuilt the motor only took a couple months to get it back to me, but it took a 14 months from the day it dropped the valve...
With a built motor, what are you most worried about breaking? Trans? Axles?
And I know I am too late to give my 2cents on injectors, but you can always try and look in the used market. I bought a set of id1300s that that cost me a little more than what a new set of id1050s go for. The guy I...
Heck, 34oz of WW might be too much. They claim a 12oz bottle will work for a 3-5 gallon system. If I am remembering right, our cars hold 4 gallons.... I would call someone from product support to see if there are any negative effects to running 3x more WW in your system
I thought an acidic build up comes from the chemicals in the coolant? So wouldn't more water be better to prolong that build up? I figured a 70/30 mix of water to coolant would be a good mixture to run for someone that doesn't live in a state that has freezing temps. Or would the 30% of coolant...
Based on where you live, you can run more water than coolant without issue. I live in FL and run a 70/30 mix plus a bottle of water wetter. I have heard running 100% water and a bottle water wetter would cool even better than 100% water alone. I just haven't dug any deeper to on how well WW does...
Instances such as these are not uncommon in the automotive industry; however, what truly sets a company apart is its willingness to take responsibility and rectify the situation at its own expense, without resorting to legal action. VMP's actions exemplify the true meaning of "standing behind...
I second looking around your area for good paint shop.
One of the last things I want to do to my Cobra is have it repainted the original color. And I heard somewhere that there is a guy in Tampa that is the 2nd best body repair and paint shop in the country - I think #1 is out in Cali. Not sure...
Man, that's rough. I was really hoping all would be good.
You receiving the 4th cam a month later sounds like the issue could be there. That would be a very easy mistake to make for a shop that is backed up with orders.
