Our sons is a Dahatsu HiJet (his friends "in the know" suggested this model as a "good one"). It cost just over $4k to import. He used an importer out of NY, he bought it at auction in Japan and got it state side, with all of the needed paperwork. Process took around 3 months.

Our son just imported one. He got the MA registration / plates this week.

I want one, but I'm totally stuck on the fact that their MSRP was ~$75k in 2022. Now the base is $20k more, really with no content upgrades? That jump seems to have outpaced inflation by a bit.... And also why inventory seems to be quite plentiful at MSRP, or less.
