Ford’s press conference is up and running.
Check out the possible introduction of the 2018 Mustang Debut live here on SVTP. Ford is going to live stream their press conference this year. Yesterday the 2018 F-150 debuted on an NFL program. Today Ford could be releasing the refreshed 2018 Mustang at the 2017 North America International Auto Show in Detroit. We will have exclusive coverage posted later today.
2018 F-150 update more than skin deep.
The fact that the 2018 F-150 was getting a 3.0 Powerstroke Diesel engine was the worst kept secret in the auto industry since the S550 Mustangs IRS. Still, the updated F-150 has a lot of changes the Ford faithful should be very excited about. Beyond the obvious new styling (which I think looks great), there are a host of powertrain updates.
Adding old-school style to your 6R80 shifter.
The shift lever on an automatic Stang is an often forgotten piece of interior equipment. I can count on one hand how many non-racecars a year I see with an aftermarket shift on an auto trans. Hurst looked at that dearth in the market and saw an opportunity. They have developed a dress-up replacement for the stock auto shift lever for the 2015-2017 6R60 equipped Mustangs in the form of their classically styled pistol grip handler.
Because modified is better than stock.
Few things are more satisfying for a gearhead than that feeling of success you get when standing back and gazing upon your recently completed build. That’s just the sensation SVTP Member Paul. experienced after the long construction project that is his 2011 5.0L-Powered Mustang GT. What started as a fairly typical loaded Premium GT was transformed into a customized ride an owner can be proud of.
One supercharger to rule them all.
It’s a war that’s been raging for years, the battle of the Mustang blowers. Kenne Bell and Whipple are the traditional combatants on the positive displacement side, but VMP has certainly been making waves with their 2.3L TVS units. It just so happens that SVTP Member 302project posted a video of a 4.0 Whipple powered Boss 302 Vs 4.7 Kenne Bell’s GT500 Vs a 2.3 VMP TVS equipped GT500.
