In the blazing heat of the Lone Star State, the Multimatic Motorsports/Ford Performance Shelby GT350R-C—piloted by Scott Maxwell and Billy Johnson—clocked its fifth victory of the season.

The Multimatic Shelby GT350R-C makes it three in a row at Road America

We aren’t sure if drifting Lethal Performance’s new Focus RS was good practice for Road America, but Billy Johnson and his teammate Scott Maxwell scored their third win in a row at Road America over the weekend and added to the tally of seven podium finishes for the GT350R-C this season.

So, when Team Lethal got word that its 2016 Focus RS was on the way, the company hatched a plan to give the car’s infamous Drift Mode a test right there on the dealer lot.

Win Again

Another Shelby GT350R-C win makes it two in a row for Multimatic

Fresh off a win at its home track in Canada, the Multimatic Motorsports Shelby GT350R-C team chalked up its second win in a row for Ford Performance at Lime Rock Park last weekend. Drivers Billy Johnson and Scott Maxwell qualified in the second spot and got great support in the pits to take another victory.

Keep On Runnin’

On the heels of its Le Mans success, the Ford GT will keep racing into 2019

Against all odds, Ford was able to go from announcing a new Ford GT to winning Le Mans on the 50th anniversary of the 1-2-3 GT-40 win in 1966 in just over a year. After that kind of success out of the gate, it would be shame not to see the car keep racing. Fortunately the powers that be at the Blue Oval agree.
