Just ask anyone who has talked future classics with me over a couple of beers, and they will tell you that I long believed that SN-95s will be the next popular project car.  For past 10 years or so the venerable Fox-Body has dominated the ground-up Mustang build market.  Alas, clean project Foxes are getting harder to find and more expensive to purchase if you do happen to luck-up on one.  However, if we skip one Mustang model ahead; clean SN-95 Mustangs (even SVT Cobras) can be had at bargain prices.

Most don’t know it, but I have a pretty big soft-spot for SN-95 SVT Cobra Mustangs.  As luck would have it, we seems to be going through a small surge in interest in these cars.  I’ve seen several really nice ones popping up a shows recently, and was honored to award the SVTPerformance.com Editor’s Choice Award at the inaugural Ponies in the Smokies show to Jonathan Catapano’s highly modified Orange 1998 Cobra.  So when I saw that SVTP Member SVT GI (“Jason”) was saving an injured ’97 Cobra I took notice.

Over 3,200 Ford vehicles filled the Carlisle fairgrounds for the annual show

In the last 15 years Carlisle Events has welcomed fans of all things Ford to the fairgrounds in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, for the Ford Nationals. In that time attendance swelled from 1,700 cars to over 3,200 cars at this year’s event held last weekend. It’s safe to say that Ford’s popularity continues to grow and this event is a fitting celebration of that appreciation.

For 15 years the crew at Track Guys have traveled to the historic pavement of Sebring International Raceway to host a high-performance driving event. These events offer the opportunity for drivers of all skill levels to learn how to drive faster on a real racetrack with assistance from professional instructors. Better yet, participants get to do it in their own cars.
