Ford Racing is selling the new 5.0 as a crate motor now. No prices yet (Late Summer). I can see these getting swapped into a lot of our S197 cars.

IMO, no modern V8 exhaust note beats that of the 96-04 2v's & 4v's - especially when equipped with an aftermarket exhaust; but the 2011 GT exhaust note is downright disgusting (by Mustang standards). The S197 3v's didn't sound quite as good as the new edge/sn95's (I do LOVE the 4v Shelby tone...

I have a 2005 GT. Not long after I bought the car I began to envy to power capabilities of the 03/04 Cobra and GT500. The DOHC 5.4L is too expensive. I have found a lot of good deals on 03/04 engines. How hard would it be to give my S197 the heart of a Terminator?

I can't find production numbers anywhere. Everyone tells me it's a rare option. I own a 2005 GT with red leather seats. Does anyone have the production numbers for this car?
