sound

This hollow clanky sound just started Monday. You can hear it best when I switch over to the passenger side. Any idea what it might be?

So I just bought a 2001 Mustang GT. It has a throttle body, cold air intake, and K and N filter. Other than that it is stock. I was wondering what I could do to make it sound better with out dumping my wallet, so to speak. I don't want something so loud that I can't hold a decent conversation...

Say one purchases a base model (any engine size) and with it gets the basic audio system. Can that basic system be upgraded to the Ford's Shaker Pro Audio system? Does FoMoCo or its dealerships that Shaker Pro Audio upgrade after the vehicle has been purchased?
