Hi guys:

I removed a Cobra emblem the seller had on my 00R on the back of the car (above the SVT logo) and now there is an outline in the paint.

Any ideas on how to remove the outline. It is black and a bit of white.

He had 3 emblems I took off the car.

Thanks!

most likely an adhesive outline. First I would use something like "GOO GONE" or WD40 on it. If that doesn't work then maybe try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. After all these I would definitely throw a coat of wax over the area.

Hope this helps....let us know.

would a claybar pick up some of the old adhesive maybe???

Yes, I used it when my emblems were stolen off the side of my car....works great. Then usea cleaner wax, and it'll be good as new

A product called BESTINE will work a lot better then anything posted on here so far. There are so many things that it breaks down & removes it's not even funny. Not cheap stuff, but you can use it for many other things. And no, it will not harm your paint in any way, shape or form... !
