I have this 91 Escort and ALL I have to do is put in a 600 cubic inch stoker with a charger on top running 23 lbs of boost and oh, did I tell ya that I am going to run a 300 shot of Nitrous on top of all that? Well, of course I am going full tube chassis with coil overs and oh, I am thinking after all that, I might run an alky injection system and after I spend 100K on this project, I just might be able to beat your LS1..........Datruth, give me a freakin break!

Datruth, from what I've seen at the tracks with cars that have the same mods you have, a 150 shot will only get you close to my car and I'm nowhere near the fastest on this board by a long shot. You don't have any track times in your sig. Have you ever been to a track? Here's my take on F-Body owners that boast about 03 kills. Most of the post are false and the whole intent is to get 03 owners to argue. Most of the post are from young turds and wouldn't know what real power was if it hit him in the ass. They have a 300 HP V-8 and they can't imagine anything having anymore power. That's because they don't know anything. The ones that run at the tracks I run at get a dose of reality real quick if they happen to line up with me. It usually only takes me one pass to wipe those crappy little grins off their faces. I wouldn't even waste my time on a heavily bolted-on F-Body anymore. If one of these posters had my car they'd be dead or would lose their license the first day.

I know some of the kills may be real. A stock 03 with a bolt-on F-body will be close. But, there are a hell of a lot of modded 03's running around and these dudes posting these kills are either not posting about getting killed or just plain lying. The same ones on LS1 post kill after kill. With names like Supafly and Da this and Da that, I question anything they post.

I visit Z06Vette once and awhile and I had a Z06 owner PM me and made posts challenging to run me on the track. We both live in W. NC. He was very persistent. The times in his sig were low 12's. I thought he might be hustling me. I accepted his challenge to run and offered to meet at Rockingham but he said it was too slick for him. I turned on my sig with the times I ran at Rockingham and he then said he knew I would outrun him. I offered to run at one of five other tracks and I haven't heard back. I guess he wasn't hustling me after all. I sure would like rack up a Z06 to my credit.

Whats your excuse for the mach1? N/A 4.6 close 3500 lbs car all stock running solid low 13's... Last time I checked that was just as good as what the stock LS1 SS'es were running as of 2002.

You forgot to mention these LS1's in their SS's are not stock when they run low 13's....these are the ones that have aftermarket SLP exhaust and induction systems (lid) on them. Camaros with SLP options on them are no longer stock in my book. If an SLP equipped car is stock, then so is an '03 Cobra with after market exhuast, etc...

I hear you guys.. First of all I am 34years old. No kid. I do not go to the track very often because GM gave us the worse rearend in the world.. Whoever said that a 150 shot will get me close to their times must be running mid to low 10's at 135mph.. Raise your hands if you are.. Just what I thought.. I did not come on here to start any trouble.. I just came to visit and say hello to my fellow Domestics.. My car ran 13.2 at 109mph stock. No mods.. With just cam and headers and 3750lbs I ran 12.28 at 116mph.. 5 cams later and some other mods in my sig I have increased my horsepower by 60rwhp throughout the power band. Not peak.. My car run deep in the 11's on motor.. Like I said.. I street race and I do not like to tip my hat to my local boys very much. They read these post as well. The nitrous is new. Many of my friends that spray between 100 to 150 shot are running low to high 10's depending on the suspension combo and traction. Someone mentioned the Mach1.. The ls1 engine has been out since 97.. GM had no reason to improve on the engine because we had no competition.. The year GM decides to get rid of the f-body.. Ford comes out with these all of a sudden fast mustangs.. My hat goes off to Ford, but I think they should have did this sooner instead of making Ford owners get raped by the aftermarket industry. The LS1/LS6 engine is still one of GM's top engines and is still a force to deal with. There are many H/C LS1/LS6's dyno'ing 400-470rwhp.. There are many SC'd LS1/LS6's dyno'ing 450-770rwhp. There are many turbo'd LS1/LS6's dyno'ing 450-700rwhp.. We have come a long way since 97.. We still have a ways to go. This year I am expecting 800rwhp plus LS1/LS6 cars riding around. I am also expecting the 03 Cobras to be making 700rwhp plus as well.. We will see though...

We've already got ones that have over 600RWHP without N20 about less than 6 months after the 03 engines release. Im sure we'll see 700RWHP any time now.

But Im just saying, alot of guys in LS1's still attack the 03Cobra's for being blown. Granted ford missed the GM cut off mark by one year, what was there excuse for the Mach1 running so steady in comparison to the LS1? Its not a forced induction engine, deffinatly not a displacement issue... Unless of course you unlike most of the Ls1 crowd realize that modular engines have their advantages...

DaTruth, I don't know you from a hole in the wall, so don't take this personally.

I love to see visitors come in and shoot the bull, but when the talk gets serious about numbers and times, come in with a dyno sheet, mod list and timeslip. A 11.3 on motor alone? Sure you can add 100-shot, but that doesn't always guarantee it will hit the gound.

Pardon me for not taking your word on the numbers. Everyone here is real polite and jovial, but don't think most people here don't have a slip or sheet in the back pocket.
