For Sale: 4V Modular 03/04 9 Thread DB Casting Cylinder Heads

Description: I have a set of used 4Valve 03/04 Modular cylinder heads that were on a running 2004 Lincoln Aviator with around 90,000 miles. These are the desirable 9 thread engagement heads with updated coolant passages. These are the 2nd to last revision Ford made of these heads. They are no longer available through Ford and appear to be getting harder to find. If you plan on building a high boosted 03/04 Cobra motor, 9 thread heads are a must. These are used and I would recommend a reputable shop of your choice go through them/clean before installing on any car.

Price: 575$ Firm. Buyer pays shipping and paypal fees.

Heads are currently plastic wrapped, bubble wrapped, and safely packaged on a custom wooden crate ready to ship, I spent a lot of time packaging them.

I'm interested. What's the last revision? DC? Differences? The other thread you posted in the OP says has to be 05'

Sorry, dont know a ton about the aviator head and years.

The last revision is the “DC” Heads which were “05” castings. I have found a lot or great information on the subject here: Castings

    “DB” castings were 03/04
“DC” castings were 05 and up.

As far as differences between the two, the “DC” heads just appear to be latest and freshest from Ford at the time, but both are 9 Thread with updated coolant passages.

Check out that link I posted it has great info! Let me know man.

Bro you really need to unbolt the cam caps and show everyone that the cam bearings are still good. I already learned this lesson the hard way when buying a junkyard set of Aviator 4v heads. The front 2 cam bearings on the intake side were scored up real bad. Probably because some dumb house wife didnt change the oil for 6 months. If the cam bearings are bad then the heads are junk & useless. I talked to Ron Fox lake a while back about this and he said your talking $400 in machine work to try to fix them and still they may not be right.

Damn, I should probably un-package them and do that. Talk about a pain in the ass. Good advice though thanks man. I will do that.
