03/04 water pump

I checked with the local Ford dealership about a 03/04 water pump and they said 01 - 04 had the same part #. Anyone know anything different?

I have an 01 L and I'm wanting to put the 03/04 water pump on so I can run the electric fan.

Stock water pump should fit. As far as i know the p/n didnt change just a change in the design of the impeller. You would have to visually look at it to determine what year. I might be mistaken but i think the 03/04 have 7 bladed shrouded impeller as opposed to the earlier 8 bladed open fin design.:shrug:

Ford did make a change in the water pump design in 03, so I would think it would cover all year Lightnings, 99-04, the new design uses a shrouded impeller wich makes the water pump able to move more water.
