I was on the way to QT to get some beer for tonight, and I was giving my Fiance's sister's boyfriend a ride in the car when I came across this blue vette. I was pulling out of the QT when I first saw him getting fuel so I slowed down a bit to see if he would follow. I entered on HWY 75 N. and just as I hoped he follewed me on. :banana:We got a lil' past traffic and brought it down to about 45 in 2nd gear. My passenger told him to honk 3 times and at this time I found out it was an Auto cause I didn't hear him bring the gear down. So, the 3 honks came and immediately i just started pulling on him... I put about 3 car lengths on him.:rockon: About this time i felt like i was racing a stock C6 or ZO6 cause I almost felt bad for him. We finally pulled up to a light on the Freeway and I had asked him if he was any in it... He had said He was in it the whole time til he saw my brake lights come on... He said he got to 115, and i had told him I was at about 135:burnout:... He said I sounded Rad as hell and I complimeted his car cause it was a clean C6. But man I didn't think i would have dominated hime that bad... Feels Good thats for sure..

Dont really know what you mean by that? You knew you were racing a stock C6 because you beat him bad? Ok, but why mention a Z06? A stock C6Z would put a hurting on you bad, unless you have some mods not listed, like a 100 shot.
Yeah if you run up on Ranger otherwise the C6Z might win but it won't be a bad hurting actually it might be a very even race. C6Z is a high 11 or low 12 car in the 1/4 mile right? If so the OPs mods are in line with running times like in my sig so it's a drivers race and just maybe the op is a better driver than Ranger by some miracel and if that's the case he would just slaughter that Vette.

Alot of C6Z's run mid 11's at 125, however we were talking from a roll. Believe me with his mods, it would not come close to a C6Z. On the freeway those things are monsters, it would be a better race with a C5Z.
It was not a Z06, nice run though. It put 3 lenths on a base model C6 about a year ago and had similar mods so it sounds about right.
Interesting but from 17 posted C6Z times, very few are as you say, high 11's to low 12's. Every race is a drivers race anyway. Not all tracks are created equal either. A roll race with a C6Z would be a tough one for your standard pullied 03/04 Cobra. Certainly a pullied Cobra is greater than a stock LS2 C6. I know my 2.9" pullied 03 Cobra was more than enough from a roll against my stock LS2 C6.

My bad i meant the C5Z not the C6z's at all,i already know my place with those boys. They take me out all the time... So my mistake on the confusion...
Time out!!! Maybe he meant a stock c5 zo6. He never mentioned a c6 zo6 he just said he beat a c6 vette. I seen countless amounts of times a pullied termy handing asses out of c5 zo6s owners. IMO that's why the all mighty c6 zo6 is as stout as it is.
In my 06'Roush stg3 w/out nitrous it put's down 442rwhp and a Zc6 put 2 1/2 cars on me all the way up to 110mph from a 20 roll....thats why I added the 125wet kit....Still waiting to run into another one, I think that Z just had catback.
Do you think the average Joe that didn't throw on drag radials or couldn't drive threw their times on there? I will agree that from a roll he's most likely going to lose if the guy in the Vette can drive at least close to average. From a dig the Cobra has a much better chance.
if it was an auto, like the op believes, it wasnt a z, c5 or c6. good kill nonetheless :beer:. from a roll, a 03/04 cobra needs about 100hp+ to compete with a z. if i had an 03/04 cobra I would go from a dig, capitalizing on it's advantages.

Ya i need about 100 more hp to compete with a C6Z but not a C5Z... I never said the C6Z was slow cause like I said earlier the C6Z will walk on me no problem...
He probably meant a C5 Z06.
Those are bone stock C6Z times. No DR's allowed on that list.
Nice kill. It makes sense to me if it was a stock C6 auto, especially an LS2. I've pulled an LS3 Vette about 1.5 cars and quite a bit harder on an LS2 C6, and you would almost definitely pull me a bit, so sounds dead on to me.
