Don't count the Mach out, I'd say drivers race with the 13 having a small edge but my experience leads me to believe it will be a lot closer than you guys think. The new cars honestly aren't much faster.

Cant wait for the vid...

As a former Mach 1 and 5.0 owner, if both can drive, the 5.0 will take the win every time.

I managed a 13.2 @ 107 in a stock Mach 1 with SLP Mufflers and 18X10 wheels on four corners. 9/10 5.0's with decent drivers in the 5.0 are in the 12's between 112-114 MPH.

Now, add gears, intake/cat-back on the 5.0, lower 12's @ 115-116. I don't see a bolt-on Mach running those times or trapping that high no matter the driver.

All in all, no driver is equal. If the mach wins, doesn't mean the car is faster. Could mean the driver was better.

How is a Mach that's down 100whp magically going to hang with or even beat a 13 GT? Slapping 4:10's or even 4:30's on a 300whp car may make it feel fast, but it's not going to come close to making up the difference, especially against a 3.73 car.

from a stop, I think they will be side by side. After the 60', the 13 will start to walk away and beat the mach pretty good.
Now I had a 03 Cobra. With the stock eaton (ported) it would beat my car as it sits, minus not using nitrous that they both had/have.

A lot of times you have to look at did you beat the car or the person. I'll see those 3.7 Mustangs bragging they beat a 5.0. but when the 5.0 runs a mid 13...somethings not right. You see them spin off the line bad or sleeping at the light and so on. But anything is possible.
I know for my car was almost stock, it ran a 12.4 at 113 but with a 2.0 60'. That's with a tune, CAI and axle back. Best to date with a few more mods and 100 shot is 11.4 at 123mph.

Those are respectable times you have but nothing too terrible for a Mach 1 to achieve. Your ET to MPH is decent and shows you aren't a bad driver either so can't blame there.

A full bolt on 4:10/4:30 geared Mach 1 will make run mid to low 12 sec quarter miles if the driver can drive and the car has a good tire.

Yes.

A simple bolt-on 5.0 with slicks/skinnies will run into the 11's with a good driver. I don't see a bolt-on mach beating a well driven modded coyote. I CAN see a modded Mach 1 edging out a stock 5.0, but, nothing dramatic like multiple car lengths or a tenth or so quicker at the track.

A bolt on Mach 1 can go into the 11s as well.......
