Whatever the outcome of the race, at the end of the day you're driving a Ford while he's still stuck driving a GM.

You come out on top either way.

Just to stir the pot

392: Stock
LS1: Bolt Ons / Cam
Lumina: Tune - Deleted Cats

Didnt know bolt on Mach's are faster then Cam / Bolt on LS1's :D

Cool story in fact My car when it was a mild bolt-on car ran next to a ms3 cam camaro from a roll but that does not show comparable performance. The track does :poke: So again what does or bolt-on 6.1 run?

So let me get this straight the 392 auto with similar mods as me when I went 12.4 @ 113.2 corrected went 11.96 @ 114. ( got me on the 60ft by .15)

I hope they get a little faster with a tune . Impressive cars regardless

Well the problem with adding a CAI and catback on the 392's is you dont gain anything. So the truth is, believe it or not, a CAI catback 392 wont run any better than a stock one. Hell my (corrected) times are in the 11's bone stock. Corrected times are pretty much a waste. I dont even know why people bring them up.

You damn right!!!!!!!

Cuz Ford 4-doors are sooo fast. The "Laguna Seca" version Viper lapped 1:33......lol

Who cares?

Is this humor or your just a nutswinger?

It also ran that with those mods, picked up nothing at all with those from stock. Weather/track conditions maybe?

I think it's been answered. Animalwarfest slowsho all the way.

IS-Fs don't gain anything from a CAI either, just headers basically. Any header 392s doing better?

I can't help Dodges are slow

And LT1s.... ;-)

Well put me in that category since onebadws6 took the win on basically every run we did.

No worries though it was a fun run and I will be back stronger next time:cool:

Maybe splitting hairs but the same mods puts SRT-8 autos at 113-114mph at MIR. That's why from a roll on any given day, a Mach driven on the street would be fun, but likely pulled by an SRT-8 (from a roll).

Base price vs base price ;) for the extra 20 grand spent to pick up a challenger stock (vs stock prices) the mach would be more classy and have 800hp if done right

I don't see how you're going to make a Mach more more classy than a fully loaded SRT-8 with in dash nav, power and heated seats, and all the other creature comforts you could want...

A faster car yes, just after a few thousand dollars...

this argument is almost always irrelevant. i get this all the time because i decided to buy a new mustang instead of a 'project'. sure instead of buying a 30k+ car, i could have bought a notch shell and been in the 9's. Some people like to have their cake and eat it too...

This.

A fox body usually kills this debate entirely. You just can't gain the things that an SRT8 delivers by taking a shit bucket and modding it. Ask me how I know. :rolling:

So I can't add heated seats and in dash nav for 1300? I like my interior better so nothing I would really improve on besides that. Hell I could make the entire dash flow better for 200 bucks.. and still be quicker and still be lighter

Dude, it's a dumb argument all around.........Let me put it in terms you can understand.

You sell your Mach for 12-14k and I sell my SRT8 for 21-24k. We both go buy Fox bodys and mod them, who will come out on top? My point is once the car is bought you can't say well I'll just and the price difference to my car and be better than the more expensive car. Hell if you add 10k in mods to your Mach I'll just add 10k in mods to the SRT8 and we'll still be right where we were lol.
