112 Detailed 2020 Predator Shelby GT500 Mustang Pics from NAIAS 2019

Obviously, the biggest story to come out of the 2019 NAIAS for the Ford Performance community was the long overdue introduction of the 2020 Shelby GT500 Mustang. In our earlier Intro Thread we let you in on some of the behind-the-scenes info that we had gathered over the past several months. So if you want some performance and power figures that Ford has yet to release, CLICK HERE.

Now that we are all caught up there, let's get to the topic at hand. After the crowds cleared out from the GT500 display we had time to give everything a closer look. We focused in on the details in this inspection. You'll notice a lot of casting and part numbers, along with a few undercarriage shots. But first, I'd like to start out with a little video we collaborated with the fine folks at Lethal Performance to produce:

Now for the pics. There's some info to be gleaned here, but I'm going to leave most of it up to you guys and our resident Predator sleuth @Tob. If you have any specific questions about the stuff in the pics please ask. I'll do my best to answer them. Here we go:

Went through every photo. Lots to say.

Thanks again Travis. I suppose to kick it off, a huge thanks for being the first to recognize on video the plug on the passenger side of the front bumper that should indeed be for a tow hook. Ford has said absolutely zilch about this to date and I've been on this one for a while now. I really want to see them acknowledge this.

Studying photos today I noticed one of a non-Track Pack model GT500 that has no plug on the bumper for a hook. Now I'm wondering if it might end up being Track Pack only - problem with that is it would make zero economic sense to have to have two fascia/bumper/etc assemblies instead of one. May just be a preproduction anomaly but there isn't a provision for a hook on this car...

Could have been air brushed out. I was suspecting that you'd pour through and analyze the pics. I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

Fantastic reporting gents! Happy to see the next car to wear the GT500 badge is every bit as special as her older sisters.

I still think its a mistake to have a roto-dial "shifter" in this car. If Lexus can give an RC-F owner paddles and a selectshift automatic shifter, then so can Ford Performance in the GT500.

Yeah, the rotary dial and e-brake tab look completely out of place.
