13-14 adding paddles shifters

I'm not looking for opinions on this I'm looking for some info......I have found a kit on eBay but I don't like the fact its wireless and don't like its from some guys garage....I know which wires control the buttons on the shifter I just need to know if they are momentary buttons and I could just attach a universal system or if I need to worry about any values coming from the bottoms last thing I want to do is fry some electronics......so any thoughts?

sub'd. My main concern would be with the shift speed. I mean with the button there's like a full second delay between pushing the button and the shift.

^ yep its the same reason that i dont like the select shift besides using it for roll racing to keep the car in a good gear.
