If you are a fox body fan, this is about as good as it gets. All original, low mile, super clean notch...I don't think there are too many left. Already bid up to 45K with 3 days to go. Should be real interesting where this one ends up.

I used to hate the porno red interior, but it's definitely growing on me. It is 1980s period correct for sure. The grey interior would have been better on this car, but this is still a great example.

I bought an 89 FHP car at a state sale years ago. Paid $4200.00 after fees and tax with 65k miles on it. The car still had the spotlight and came with tan interior. Probable the most fun car to drive that I have ever owned. Could have bought all of them that I wanted back then. Too bad I didn't have any money, the reason for the purchase was to sell the 87 turbo Z that my wife had so we could send her to collage .

I don't think I could live with that all-red interior, even with that low mileage. My eyes! The exterior is AWESOME! I wish that one had a light gray interior, like this one.

I can't help but sift through those photos and mentally remove most everything down to the shell. Let's be honest. The quadrabind suspension was awful. Rear drum brakes - egads. Four lug wheels. Weak transmission. Engine runs out of gas past 5k rpm. On and on. Back then we thought we had it good but looking back these were awful. Aside from the shell I think the only thing I'd keep would be the tilt column.

Ya that’s how I feel about these cars. I mean I had one, rocked a bunch of f bodies, had a great time - but spending 50k on one today seems dumb. It’s like the losers that never had them back when it mattered are dropping dumb cash on them so they can put them in their garage and pretend they are cool.

The malaise era was still relatively fresh so the car was somewhat a breath of fresh air.

Most old cars are more nostalgic than actually being fun to drive. I have to admit though my Dad had an 89 notch back when I was in high school and I wouldn't mind having one in the garage. It's hard to justify though when there are so many great modern cars that are pretty much better in every way.
