I had the rare opportunity over the weekend to drive an original 1957 Austin Healey. It was interesting driving a 4 speed without syncros haha. I also had the pleasure to shoot some photos, truly an amazing car. Though I would share some of the photos.

Awesome cars! Is it an original, unrestored car or a restored to original car?

Great pics too!

It's all original except the windshield spray nozzle. The guy has owned the car for over 30 years and has put less than 10,000 miles on it. I believe it has 40,000 miles on it.

My Neighbor has a 63 that he's been working on for years and those cars are beautiful. They look like fun cars

Cool factor just went WAY up! Those things bring good money at Barret Jackson. They are some sexy cars that look fun as heck to drive! I am officially a little (read: A LOT) jelly!

Great shots of a gorgeous car, I've had a Healey in my life since I was about 8 years old. My dad got his first one in 1976 and has been road racing them for 30+ years now. One of the best classics to own since they actually have the power and performance to be used in the real world. Really fun cars to drive.

This is my dads car with my son riding shotgun, yes it's a right hand drive car.

I am afraid I'm going to have to call BS on the all original thing though, I guarantee that car has had a full on restoration and a fairly recent one at that. These cars didn't look that good new, the modern resto cars are actually far better to drive and immensely more reliable than they ever were new as well.

Well you're right there. He did some cosmetic things but has replaced with original parts. The mechanics of the car are all original and that's mainly what I was getting at. I really had to put my foot down to get it to go hahaha.

I would def take that over a Hellcat. I had a chance to buy one back in 1999, a '68 3000 off a guy I worked with. It was between the 3000 for $18,000, a 1960 190SL for $8,000 off a widow and a TR6 with the HT and overdrive for $5,500. I bought the TR. No regrets just wish I had more insight. 600 hp is nice and all but those cars had a balance, something special. Something that is just missing in modern machinery. They were very mechanical, you could feel and hear everything. You were very much a part of the car and the experience. Ok I'm done waxing nostalgic. Thanks for sharing.
