Love seeing you add all the new features to these old trucks. Your work is seriously top notch. simply amazing.
Thanks! It sure takes a ton of extra time having these options but trying to make it appear like it belongs there.
Still hoping to get the Adaptive Cruise control to work also not just cruise control. The TPMS and 900 miles on a fuel fill were also mandatory. Keeping the Twin I Beam but have it drive like modern suspension also a gotta have.
Well in excess of 3000 hours so far.

Got sidetracked for a bit there. Found this beyond Rare 1966 N700 Crew Cab. It very well could be the only known Survivor if in fact there were more made!

Did you buy it, or just explored?

I actually bought it! I kinda collect 1966 Ford trucks. Forgot how many at last count
This one I now consider the Crown Jewel. no other ‘66 N700 CrewCab known at this time although about 10 yrs ago there was a ‘67 in Vegas area. It vanished.
I also have a 1965 F600 that was a UHaul service truck since new then a tow truck.
No clue what I will do with them all but sure is fun collecting.

Approximately 1 week out on the F100 Raptor swap 1st test drive. Simply too much to do for a old fart.

Engine supposed to have been rebuilt less than 1000 mi ago but it’s been sitting a long time now. Would love to restore 100% but prob too costly. Plan is to figure out a way to have very large camper on back have it removable so I can still use dump, flatbed. It may require a 2020 or newer 6.7 power stroke 10R140 combo.

I assume that's a inline 6? Careful with those rims, as they look like split rims and they can be deadly when mounting new tires.

no it’s a V-8 FT. Very similar to FE looks the same and many parts interchange.
FE 332, 352, 360, 390, 406, 410, 427, 428
FT 330, 361, 391. I have a 391 in my 1965 F600.

I'm sure you know the difference on the front of the crank, but why not a good old 428 or 454swap and then give it modern FI? Stroker FE kits are cheap, and for gas engines you can build killer torque and dependability with an FE. Tunnelports would flow all you needed and be out of sight on the cool factor. It sure is fun spending other peoples money and time.

Edit: would be a nice home for that 482

I already have a couple FE powered’66 trucks. Have a 393 ready to go together with machine work all done. After spending 5k just on EFI for the 482 I had enough. I can make a bunch more TQ & HP for fraction of cost with 213 cu in 6 cyl. I like the FE stuff but far too costly for amount of power made. The 393 very low RPM build idle to 4000 rpm would be cool but not enough power for a 24,000 lb truck. It’s slated for ‘66 clone of one my dad bought new. New 7.3 10R140 has a very slight possibility as much cheaper than FE but it will most likely get Diesel of some sort. 7.3 gas too fuel hungry for long distance cruising.

the N700 Crew has 6.50/9.04 gearing it’s gotta have overdrive unless I do frame swap but at that point no use old school on engine.

FE/FT good for local cruise night n shows but long distance cruising no way. My ‘66 F600 FT 361 got 7.0 mpg. First thing wife asked was if I was going to upgrade engine and drivetrain for better MPG. She is a accountant so MPG Does Matter! Lol
