This thread is motivating me to get started with my bucket o'bolts. Making great progress. Car looks awesome. If I may, I saw a picture of a Red notch with anniversary wheels, lowered. It was the coolest fox I had ever seen. I think yours would look great with those wheels and that ride height.

Ok- so here are some photos of the modifications and updates.

the GT40 iron heads offered on the early Explorer's didn't have provisions in the heads for the thermactor tube. I did want to retain it to make it appear as though we had a functioning emissions system in place;

Here are some pictures of the hood back on, and buttoned up. The 5-lug wheels are also on. I'll get some better "scenic" pictures as soon as I can. I have to get some details ironed out still.

Are you using the Aluminum driveshaft or the stock heavy one?

Please excuse the late response. I am currently running the stock driveshaft. I plan on going with the alloy unit later on down the road, along with a handful of other modifications.

I have to get the TV cable pressure set, then get an alignment. After that, I'll get it on the rollers for a proper tune with an SCT chip.

Awesome man I actually have mine out as well today, having a drivetrain vibration problem have to verify if the driveshaft is still screwed up or not.

Nice job my man!

Ok, TV cable set. 255/lph walbro installed, pending the speedo cable and cobra brake master cylinder and booster. Once those are installed, I'm debating on 4.10's next, or a dyno tune.

Your rolling along quite well - I just picked up an Aluminum Driveshaft over the weekend should have it installed today pending proper U-Joint purchase

Ok, here are the figures, first I'd like to point out the weather conditions for the day;

Temperature at the dyno facility (AZ Dyno Chip) at 2:00pm: 108 degrees

Denisty Altitude (At Firebird international raceway- about 15 miles away and 4 degrees cooler): 4,520ft.

Fuel 91 pump gas

full emissions components are on (EGR- disabled, TAP/TAD- disabled, factory fuel cut off- disabled), factory cats in place, factory air box, factory belt drive components (Air pump, water pump, power steering pump, AC compressor). Factory HD fan clutch, and manual fan.

The car dyno'ed at 220rwph. They have emailed me the graphes, and I'll get those uploaded as soon as possible. A bit "lower" than I expected, but though the stock AOD, stock driveshaft, and stock cats, I'm not terribly upset. Keith (owner/operator) feels I should be able to pick up 20hp with an off road x-pipe and possibly see better numbers with better air.
