Just curious, what is the max boost a 2.1 KB is rated for?

My current combo is

2v 5.0 stroker
Ported heads
Custom ground blower cams
2.1 Kenne Bell

I've heard a 2.8 Mammoth inlet is a good upgrade. What else can I do to get some more power out of the 2.1?

It really depends on the combo. You're not going to see the same max boost as someone with stock displacement and stock heads.

How much power can you squeeze out with the stock inlet? Car right now makes around 490whp. Would be nice to get to around 550whp.

I am almost tempted to sell the KB and do a tork tech and ported eaton while I look for a 2.2 Kenne Bell. But regardless with the tork tech then I can run all the Cobra blowers.

you can make over 600whp on the 2.1 just has to be done right.... in a few months my new setup will be together and shooting for 620-630 on e-85 this is on a 4v high cr aluminator.. the issue is the inlet after 12-14 psi it just doesn't flow whats needed. so you need a sheet metal one made and a big oval TB to feed it

think of it this way if a 2.2 can make 650 on an 03 cobra the .1 difference in blower size from the 2.2 to the 2.1 is not going to be much different if any. the 2.1 is more efficient and has the big bore design along with different rotors

Looks like the inlet swap is more of a PITA than I thought. Prob just gonna save up and get a 2.8 KB, killer chiller, and work on my fuel system.

I made 550/550 at 16.5 psi. I used the 2.2 inlet and accufab throttle body. My tuner thought 600 is possible removing the KB dryer tube inlet.

nice numbers man thats a on 2v? does it feel strong? that makes me feel confident i can hit above 600 with my 4v... and at 16lbs what pulley did you use or did you use a lower also? im going to run a 3.0 or 3.2 with a 15% od and see what it gets me..should be 17-18lbs i think

2v. I am thinking it is making around 14lbs of boost. And yeah it pulls hard. I haven't really gotten a chance to drive it yet though, cause that damn white stuff is on the ground. :cuss:

I made 428 hp 440t with 9 psi pulley my 1.7 set up 01romeo its currently in my 87 fox tho lol i would say 600 should be easy with the bigger inlet
