A CARB certified 2.65?
We may have something special coming for you very soon
So I can 100% Confirm that a new Gen 3R 2.65 VMP TVS is coming for the 03-04 Cobras. I have it pre-ordered. I was told that they are about 6-8 Weeks out. They are also doing a porting option for them as well if you decide to do it (Which I decided to go for)
But the build I’m going with is going to be pretty straightforward.
2.65 TVS Gen 3R. That is ported
3.1 Pulley
GT500 Throttle body and Elbow
E85
Full Race Ported heads (Done by me)
ARP head bolts & ARP Rod bolts
I’ll attach the order list from VMP below. If you have any questions let me know, but I’ve heard some pretty good things about this blower. As far as I know there isn’t a ton of information on it regarding the Terminators.
I would like to know too. Oh, and how much extra was it to port it? Jorkerz charges $1,250 to port the Gen3R so wondering which would be the best way to goAny update on this? How did the car turn out with the gen3r? Power it puts down? Performance characteristics? Would love to hear any input you can provide

Keep us posted on the E85 number cause 750whp on 93 pump is impressive! Are you running a stock lower?I have a very similar setup, but I have the normal gen 3 not gen3r. 750rwhp on 93 @18lbs. Only thing extra I have done is cams. Was going for a 25lb/e85 tube but I need bigger injectors. Currently have id1050x
Stock heads, Todd warren cams, arp cam and head bolts, gt500 tb, vmp 5” intake tube, lethal 1400hp return system, arh 1 7/8 to full 3” exhaust
Will get some id1300 in the near future and crank up the boost on e85 hopefully

That's crazy! How much do you think you picked up from the cams? Mind if i ask their specs?Stock lower pulley? Yes, running the 3.2” upper and put me right at 18lbs. I was also surprised at the number, it was on a 90° morning, and pretty conservative according to my tuner. I really think it will make 900+ on e85 and the higher boost but we’ll see!
I’m going to get used to this power for a bit, while I do some other upgrades to the irs, new wheels, charging system, etc etc before I get the new injectors. Prob won’t be too long lol

What do you think the cams got him? I've heard great things from Todd Warren cams. 750whp sounds possible on 93 pump with cams. I think intervention302 (I think that's he's profile name) on Youtube makes about the same power with his 2.9 whipple and TW cams on pump gas.So essentially a stock engine with cams and you made 750rwhp on pump 93? And only at 18psi? Dyno sounds a little happy IMO.
I'll be honest and say I'm no expert. But the only guys I've seen make over 700 on stock engines are on E85 or race gas and usually over 20psi. If they're not then there's usually some serious engine work involved. My car made 617rwhp with the 2.9 at 18psi and a whopping 12 degrees of timing on 91 octane. Granted the dyno I was on could've been stingy, but I don't see cams getting an extra 100hp even with more timing. What do you think the cams got him? Now VMP is talking about bring the 3100 VMP for the Cobra, when that happens I may sell my 2.65
Yeah, I won't say I'm an expert. But from what I've seen, guys that go custom cams like TW or Kurgan- and not just something off the shelf - pick up very good numbers.I'll be honest and say I'm no expert. I found this video from @Intervention302 and it says he made 767rwhp on what I think is race E85. Which falls in line with what I've seen.
100% agreed! That's why the person I used as an example was dyno'd at a reputable dyno/tuner. He even has pervious numbers before his cams - see the video 01yellercobra posted of his old setup - that are on par with what others make. And if you go back to his even older videos, his Posi ported eaton, 2.76 pulley cobra only made 478whp. Which is way below normal ported cobras, so you can't say it's a happy dyno. You have to be careful what you believe on the internet. Many many shops make their money on boosting dyno numbers to get repeat customers (super easy to do). Bigger numbers means better tuners in most peoples eyes. Do these people have a piece of paper that says they make these numbers? Yes. Will they run the equal times as the cars with legitimate dynos? No. This is the main reason I do not post dyno numbers anymore as so many people unknowingly post bs numbers. Just to note one of the top 2.65 on E85 with a built engine, heads, cams, and E85 and 25psi made just a bit more than 750rwhp. To run equal times that the 2.8L and 2.9L runs at the track it had to spray nitrous. Unless they have dyno numbers from a completely different dyno to back them up or more importantly track times that show the huge discrepancy then the numbers are hard to believe.
15 years ago I had a build. Took it to get tuned by a vendor on this site that had amazing results for people. Got amazing numbers and everyone patted backs all around. Well I took it to a local shop to only dyno on a dyno day. Strap down and that was it. I quickly realized those numbers were bs. I dropped 75rwhp and like 80rwtq by swapping on dyno. My numbers were more in line with what I should of seen. The eventually went out of business for fudging numbers.
Buddy recently bought a Twin turbo Terminator with unreal numbers. Once he got it he had it dynoed and guess what did not make the numbers that were claimed.
Can go on for days with these stories but one last one. about 2 years ago a buddy built a twin turbo Z06 and sent it to another buddy to have it tuned. The car came back with record numbers. All were happy. Awhile later it was found out that yep the friend boosted the numbers and did not make the numbers that were claimed.
I've said this for years. Any shop can make a dyno readout whatever you want it to be.....
Still haven't put mine on a dyno since 2014 when I first put my tvs on...and it only made 576 back then on 18 psi....
