The sale is pending at asking price and will certainly let you and all the others that have made an offer if the sale falls through. Thanks for your interest!

Financing fell through on the first buyer. Car is available presently. Will update the thread when the car is listed on BAT.

Mayyyyyybe... Due to recent sales of two 00Rs and what they sold for, I'm reconsidering what mine is worth and likely holding onto it unless I receive a silly offer that I can't say no to.

$43k seems low to me. That car isn't going down in value ever. I would hold onto it. In a few years it will be worth $80-100k all day long easily.

$60.5K for the one on Ebay (2800 miles) and $66K for the one that sold at Mecum (I believe around 400 miles). With auction fees, the new owner paid right at $75K for the Mecum car.

No, but it's pretty much off the market.

I expected you'd pull it. No sense selling now if you don't really need to because the value is going to keep increasing. I'll bet the first potential buyer is heartsick that his financing fell through. That price was a steal.

I'd be interested in the car if you reconsider putting it out on the market. I would say just be careful when comparing prices on those low mile cars since after XX,XXX miles the price drops a bit on the market. You can see what some of the "higher" mileage cars bid to on BAT and there is a significant difference in prices.

The car is no longer on the market. I'd consider selling it if a buyer were to offer a stupid amount of money for it. To be honest, I don't even think I'd consider selling it for less than $70k. Do I think it's worth that now? Of course not. It doesn't cost must to sit under a cover and appreciate until it reaches a number I'm comfortable with. And, it's a helluva lot of fun to drive occasionally. :)

I'll add this. There are only 300 of these things. High mileage or not, they will all be very valuable in the near future. They're certainly trending in the right direction. Just take a look at a LX or GT fox body. Nice examples are selling for well over $20K. Take a look at what 69 and 70 Boss 429s are selling for. Kar Kraft built over 850 of those over two years and you'd be hard pressed to find one under $200K.

Considering the one currently on EBay is asking $110K.... $70K for this one would be a bargain. Also, there are less than 300 currently in existence as some were totaled and beyond repair. I think the writing is on the wall with the 2000 R’s. It’s a very special car for a lot of reasons and in my opinion should hold the highest value out of the 3 R’s produced. The 2000 R wasn’t just a parts bin car. The entire car was specifically engineered and extremely special with one off parts. Not surprised these are finally jumping in value.

You are lucky that buyer wasn’t able to close the deal.
