    Hello all-

I'm going to be selling my 00R soon and I wanted to chat with the brain trust here as to what you think it's value may be.

It's a "high" mileage car at 15k, however, it's in just about perfect condition. Paint, interior, etc.

Installed are a custom air intake, 90mm MAF and SCT tuner. I do have all of the original parts, as well. Additionally, I have the original tires and serpentine belt (neither currently installed). I have a Bassani catback system (installed) and the original Borla system. I also have a catless H-pipe.

Black binder is included, however, I do not have the dash plaque. California Car Cover also included.

    Thoughts?

Sounds like a great car. It’s funny how 15,000 miles is considered high mileage isn’t it?

I think in the proper condition with everything that you have you’ll be just fine in today’s market

I would put the stock parts back on it and list it for $49.5k. Sell the extra goodies for more $. Waiting until spring would be helpful to maximize your money.

I agree. Stock is best for the sale.

First off I think all 00Rs are undervalued in today's market. So to answer you question in today's market I think in the condition, mileage and extras
you stated. 40k low 45k high. Good luck with your sale
Hope you get what you want for her.

I was thinking $50K for the car/parts however I end up selling everything. Doesn't sound like I'm too far off.

Care sounds nice, but let’s consider recent sales and “no sales” for pricing. I think it’s really a matter of finding the right buyer for your particular car. Take for example the 00R from NJ that sold recently on BaT. It was a 1 owner thousand mile car that was a no sale on EBay at $49K and was purchased by a dealer who paid $45K for the car and sold it on BaT for $60K. Clearly the forum for the sale played a big role in selling the car, but the original owner also sold his one owner car for $45K. So average that out and you get low $50’s for a perfect, low mile and fully documented car.

Now go to the two recent “high mile” R’s recently on EBay. Both cars had around 10K miles and had a tough time making mid $30’s again resulting in no sales.

I have found the “non collector” segment for the 00R is very thin as most people seriously shopping for a 00R do not plan on actually driving the car, which is a shame because they are an absolute blast to drive. These collectors are typically looking for a car that has 5K miles or less. They are also looking for a car that comes with as much documentation from day 1 of original purchase as possible, original window sticker, black binder and they want the car to be all original as in the way it left the factory. These are the buyers that will pay a premium when they find the right car.

Now...the fact that there were only 300 made creates more of a disparity in pricing between a low to no mile cars and cars with “significant” mileage. You can get a low to no mile example for $45K - $60K as we have seen in very recent sales. A low to no mile example will be 30 -70% or more higher price wise than a car with miles. So taking recent pics no into account I would say the range on your car would be $31,500 - $40K in the high end. Probably not what you were expecting to hear and likely what you won’t hear in an enthusiast forum, but that’s reality for these cars right now. Also, modified cars bring less of a premium than cars that are totally stock. Positive for you is you still have the stock parts.

If you get anywhere close to $40K, that’s all the money in the world for that car right now. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but that’s the market right now. I’m sure that will change as it typically does with the collector car market, but that’s where we are at today.

Best of luck with the sale. If you are serious about selling, I suggest listing on EBay. Even if the car doesn’t sell, you will get a ton of inquiries and possibly even end up selling off EBay due to the exposure.

That above is a real, fair, assessment, by someone that has both bought and sold these cars. I find especially, in this forum, everyone that is not in a selling position thinks cars are not worth anything, and cite very low values. Where as a seller the values are positioned high and out of the selling market. There is zero doubt these cars are still underappreciated, and maybe someday will shine.

I might also add, your timing for sale, likely could not be worse. No one it thinking about collector cars during the holidays. Next worse is winter, which is also upon us. Waiting the few months for spring, should make a difference.

Would it be worth waiting a few months till spring and use the fact that it’s now 20 years old in marketing it ?

word the ad with lots of “anniversary”, “collector”, etc phrases

Anyone want to buy the Bassani exhaust for $12k? ;) I can certainly wait to sell the car. I'm just ready for a new car that I'd have more fun with and be less concerned about. Appreciate all the opinions. I will likely list it on BAT when ready.

everyone on here is spot on. my opinion if you want top dollar, return the car to 100% stock (most buyers want this car stock from what i have seen) and get it as flawless as you can. sell the aftermarket stuff separate, the bassani should bring some good money if its in good shape. if you can wait until the spring that wont hurt you either.

Condition is everything. The tips dent and scratch easy and if the pipes are not straight the alignment of the tips gets off easily.

500-1000 is the range in my opinion. 1000 if its perfect.

If you are serious about selling the exhaust I’ll buy it if you want to sell it and ship it to MA.

I think the exhaust is worth a lot more than that. Bassani only produced supposedly 100 aftermarket sets and a quality 03/04 cobra cat back cost 1k. When is the last time one's been up for sale? I would say 1k on the low end.

If the low-end of the Bassani is $1000 I wonder how much my fully polished Bassani is worth...lol.. Would love to see confirmation of only 100 units being produced.

You probably have a great deal of time in polishing your bassani exhaust its must look great. Is it on your car? Love to see some pics. I remember reading about someone contacting Bassani about another run on the exhaust kits and them referring to 100 total kits be produced.
As for bassani initially producing 100 kits and with 300 Rs only being made that number makes some sense.
