Clean title car with under 46k miles. Tastefully modified. Specifics obtained from previous owner who built it are in the photos. It has a teksid block, stage 3 cams, KB 2.8LC mammoth. Motor has like 7k on it. 26 spline input shaft, 8.8 SRA with 31 spline axles and 4.10 gears. Subframe connectors, control arms etc. Its on cut springs in the rear. Dyno at 675 rwhp on 100 octane at 18 lbs. It has a sump fuel tank conversion, return style system, division x rails, and 80 lb injectors. Interior is excellent. I have a full set of nexus gauges and raptor 2 shift light. Exterior has the occasional tiny rock chip or blemish, but it’s super clean for 45k miles. I’m picky about that, and it was always garaged. I bought it with this carbon fiber hood already on it. It does have some minor cracks in the resin by the latch that don’t appear to go into the carbon fiber. I do not have the IRS, stock hood or wheels. I have barely put miles on the car and have always babied it. Fenders are rolled. Has a battery isolation box in the trunk. I just replaced the battery with a new Napa legend EGM. Including a brand new $330 Cali car cover indoor cover for it with bag. I have documentation from previous owners and the SVT cert.

Asking $28,500 and prefer cash. I love the car, but I’m really wanting to buy a 68-70 charger to build as that has always been my dream car.

68-70 b bodies, esp the chargers, have always been my faves, too. glws.

if you never saw him on youtube before, check out chris birdsong's "junkerup" channel. he specializes in all the metalwork and full restorations of 68-70 chargers.

I have been following him for a long time. He is the best at what he does…a true craftsman.

^ Agreed. This would essentially be a local sale. Heck, I just moved from DFW and it could take a solid hour or more just for someone to drive across the metro area.

I’d say the seller either has another buyer, or doesn’t want to deal with 93cobracoupe for some reason.

I had it listed locally as well. It was listed at a more than reasonable price here. The guy on here had told me he wasn’t interested and that he would pass at my asking, and then tried to seeing if I’d take less on a couple occasions. Then later messages saying he wanted it and wanted to come out immediately, when I already had others interested at asking and expressed that. There are some locals interested, who had already checked it out by then. If I do sell they will likely be the buyers. I’m not trying to be rude or dishonest here or playing games. I told him I would keep him in mind if it becomes available.

As of now It’s off the market.

It’s all good man. All I’ll say is, If I was selling something and someone told me after some “negotiations “ (that tends to happen during car deals) that they would take it, I’d sell it. Still interested if u change ur mind, was just thrown off how everything happened.

I mean I mentioned I was firm at asking. I spoke with you, gave you all the information and answered whatever questions I could. You said you’d pass, then offered $1k to $1.5k under asking. In todays market, I don’t see how $27,500 needs “negotiations” on a low mile SB coupe like this. Am I supposed to sell it out from under someone else when you decided you wanted it? I’m just saying there’s no way to please everyone here. I’m sorry how it went down threw you off, but I don’t think that’s a fair expectation.

DarksideTX, your reasoning and position are very logical and reasonable, in my opinion. That said, the way you worded post #14 leads me to believe you may not have a deposit on the car (you stated, “If I do sell it, they will LIKELY be the buyers”). I don’t mean to overstep, but have learned via the school of hard knocks not to hold a car without a deposit, irrespective of how legitimate the potential buyer seems… I got burned selling a GT500 to a member here, after which time I told myself I’d never hold a car again without a deposit, and that the first person to give me money gets the car. Perhaps this could be helpful, and sorry for the unsolicited advice! Best of luck with the sale!

I agree. Lol. I’ve sold enough cars to know that most people will flake. Most people try and get loans for these cars and either won’t get financed or won’t loan enough money on them. A lot of deals fall through because of that. Either way, I get it, but if he gave me the word I’d still scoop it up.
