2004 Sonic blue Lightning value

I am potentially going to be buying a 04 Sonic Blue lightning from a friend. This would be my first lightning and I am having trouble getting an idea of the value. It has 168k miles. The engine was just built studs all the way around, H-beam rods etc. 1000+hp engine. Truck is in good shape especially considering miles/year, it needs minor TLC stuff. I know the Sonic Blue makes it worth quite a bit more just not sure how much. I have a 03 Sonic Blue Terminator also and know the color commands more money. Was just curious if anyone had any input to a rough value. TIA

Thank you for this info I appreciate you taking the time to reply. Yeah it is very nice knowing the person vs just buying one. I couldn't agree more there. By your examples it seems I will probably be getting a pretty good deal. Pretty sure it can be had around $17-18k. It has no accident history and I'd be the 4th owner.
