Front bumper is done. Late Model Resto came through for all the little brackets, nuts and bolts.

Planning on taking a day off next week to knock out the front end, suspension and brakes.

Got some progress....finally. Started on the rear end first. Forgot a ton of tools and hardware.

Replaced rear springs/shocks with Steeda Sport springs and Pro Action damper.
My son was admiring the new spring color.

Front end is still on stock strut/Eibach Sportline(crap). ZERO travel with the Sportline springs. Plopped the front bumper on it, removed the rear wing and fake hood scoop to see a basic glimpse of what itll look like once completed.

Hope to get back and remove the front strut/spring combo for the new Steeda Sports/Pro Action strut w/ camber plate in the next week or so. Need to also install the Ford Racing Jounce bumper kit in the rear. Final piece of the suspension package for now is the adjustable panhard bar which will be adjusted once the car is at ride height.

Car is on 18x9 +35 AMR Drift wheels with Nitto NT05 in 275/40R18. Also picked up a set of 18x10 Roush wheels which will get 295/40R18's square for a second set. Traded the Bullit wheels for the Roush wheels so its a big win.

and final piece of the day is the harness mount parts from a gentleman on the Track Mustangs Online forum. He makes these which bolt into position using the rear two seat mount bolts. They include all hardware (Grade10.9), measurements are spot on and the powdercoating is high quality.

FWIW, crotch strap mount gets bolted to underside of seat mount but wanted to show what it looks like and where it'll mount. Driver side mount shown above, passenger side similar.

Found a set of stock manifolds for $100 and an H-pipe for $330. Will remove the long tube headers and mid pipe to get back the 25 points. Hope i can recoup at least $1000 for the headers/midpipe.

You traded a set of Bullitt wheels for Roush? Someone didn't know what they had.

He had them on a Crown Victoria. Didn’t fit well. They also have at least 6x layers of spray paint on them.

But yeah, nice guy just wanted to get rid of them.

Revising the list after speaking with some Champ Car teams that run the S197 chassis. They say ditch using aftermarket parts for the engine mounts, IMRC plates, differential and front sway bar as they wont add up to the laps being added.

VPI point adds:
Engine Mounts - 10
Caster/Camber Top Hats - 20
Billet IMRC Deletes - 25
3.5" Aluminum Driveshaft - 10
Torsen T2R - 25
Adjustable Panhard Bar - 10
Front Sway Bar - 20

So, we will be down 7 laps which should help us be more competitive.

Seat, brackets and sliders came in. Friend drilling out the NRG seat brackets for the crotch strap bracket yesterday so should be able to mount everything this weekend before putting the seats in the car.

Pyrotect Sport Seat on driver side and Corbeau Forza on Passenger side.
