I definitely agree about the quality of the show. As I was parking there was a guy parking beside me that I was VERY concerned was going to hit my car. He then looked over at my fiance and said "cant park this damn thing" .. i was a bit concerned. anyways, I noted the huge gaping scratches going across his car and wondered why he entered. The turnout was huge.. I think one of the emails I got from AM was that it was to be like 400+.. just lacked a bit in quality. Trophies were given out at the end of the event and I noticed that about 2-3 hrs before the event ended probably 1/3+ of the ppl that had entered left.. which alone pretty much told me the level of quality that wasn't there. I actually had difficulty picking cars for some of the categories.

Thanks for coming out to the show, guys! We had a great time, and we loved getting to know our customers a little better. If you have any suggestions for how we could have done things better, I'd love to hear them.

As far as the quality of cars at the show went, keep in mind that there were a lot of folks who registered to show their Mustangs because the registration fee was donated to Homes for Our Troops. I know a lot of people with daily drivers who were a little self-conscious, but wanted to help out a good cause, so they registered. I figure, since the registration money was used for something awesome and you can't have too many Mustangs, it's all good. :)

Good show...we know it's hard to organize something like that. One suggestion that I have is that the parking was WAY too tight. Most of the aisles, once parked there was no way of getting out.

Now, how about a spring show?

I'm pretty sure our car show chair will have a nervous breakdown if I suggest a spring show to her, lol. Thanks for the suggestion about parking, I'm not sure why the spaces were so tight this year, but I'll make sure I add it to my list of things to mention for next year. :rolling:

Also, in order to have people actually vote (participant judging) you really need to have the cars in some sort of groups/classes. There was really no honest way to go around and vote fairly on the cars with them scattered all over. Designating classes for cars to park would help this.

Besides for that, it was a good show I think. Its more about the people and friends, so I had a great time.

I had a blast! This was the first time I ever put one of my cars actually in a show and I can tell you for sure, it won't be the last. I can't believe I never did it before, as specially as much attention that my DSG got.
Anyway, I'll be one of the first to register next year. In the mean time, here are few of my shots. I only took pics of my car though, sorry... An hour or so after I got there, Jim from Magnaflow asked me to park with them. That's why there's two settings.

Great show.....I would only ask for some more trophy categories. The Bullitt, Roush, Mach1, specialty category was a little overcrowded...........

LOL, no I'm a cop. I get told what I should and shouldn't be doing for 12 hours a shift, by people that are convinced that they not only know better, but also that they're entitled to because they "pay my salary." You should see the look on their faces when I offer them the 30 cents back of their taxes for the year that actually went toward my salary.

Now that is funny.
