Hi everyone,

im aiming for some 11's before storing the stang for the winter.

setup :

2011 Mustang GT 6-Sp's Manual 3.55 gears.
- AirRaid Cai
- Jba Off-road H-pipe
-Pypes Axel back
- Bama 93 v2R Tune
- Steeda Adj. UCA
- Whiteline LCA's
Made 410whp / 394wtq.
has run 12.7 @ 116mph.

heres the data of the last 3 passes at the track.
keep in mind this was on 19" Michelin Winter tires lol. 265/40/19's.

tires : 265/40/19 26psi
60' : 2.217
1/4 : 12.971
mph : 115.12

tires : same
60' : 2.126 ( off idle )
1/4 : 12.790
mph : 115.21

tires same
60' : 2.077 ( 2,000 rpm launch )
1/4 : 12.762
mph : 115.31

Im planning on getting :

- Bmr Front Rad Lightweight Support with Sway Bar delete.
- 285/40/18 Nitto No5R Tires
- Msd 2-step Launch Control
- 18x10 Forgestar f14 monoblocks
- DriveShaft Shop Aluminum Driveshaft.

I also just just replaced the clutch with an exedy clutch kit. Grabs nice and hard now :)

How good will this setup hook ? I'm aiming for 11.99's before I park it for winter.
next season I will be doing more engine work, full suspension ( Bmr,Viking, strange ) , with full bias ply fr/rear slicks on Sve Rims with the possibility of a nitrous set-up :)

So im basically looking for 1.7 60' foots or better on the 285/40/18 Nitto No5r's.
will this be possible ?

Stop faffing about with street tires or drag radials, get a slick and call it done. There is no way in hell you're going to drop 8 tenths with your current combo and not likely with your "planning on getting" either. I put a loaded 3.73 manual BBP car into the 11s using the Procal only....with a slick.

I have a thread going you can take a look at, very few mods and went 11.9@116. I needed a 1.8 60' time to get into the 11's.

As stated a bunch above, run on a tire and I bet with some finesse in your 60 you'll be there by the 3rd pass

Well thanks for the info guys.
I know a slick is the way to go.
I bought a set of 28×10.5×15's. Today. They will go on if i do not crack an 11. Or they will just go on next season.

I also got the : Nitto no5r's , alum driveshaft, bmr drag springs , relocation brackets, and bmr front sway bar delete today.

There are a few guys down here locally and on the forums running good numbers on a mt-82 with drag radials.
One guy has a thread up running 11.45 with 17" hoosier radials.

Anyways if the nitto no5r's dont get me into the 11's ill sell them and order up the front 17x4.5 rims with bias ply skinny slicks. And put the 28x10.5x15 slicks i bought today in the back.

Ill keep you all posted.

Better tune, 15x10 race stars with sway bar relocation brackets and some stiff sidewall slicks and you will run an 11.

That crap Bama tune isn't helping you any. Invest in a real tune and you'll save a couple tenths off I'd be willing to bet.

I went 11.8 with just an o/r H, tune, 1 pc shaft, and drag radials on with my 11 MT82 3.73 car. I'm not a good launcher by any means either.

I put over 100 hits on a stock clutch and MT82, on a softwall Hoosier 10" slick, no problemo. The car was running great when I wrecked it on the street.....

I cut multiple 1.7 60's on the nt05r.

Slick definitely preferred but if you know how to drive you can get it done with the DR's.

That MSD will help a lot too.... You'll love it at the track.
