So I know after the fall out of last year's University of MD cruise in, I myself am a little skeptical about attending as I'm sure many other are. Nonetheless, I always try to keep my eye out for fun events for the summer and prior to last year, it was a good time. Here are the details I found:

Date/Time: Sunday, April 29 / 12p-6p
Reserved club spots can get in at 11:15. We will leave the Starbucks Parking lot at 11am
Location: Prince George's Stadium Bowie Baysox
4101 Crain Highway
Bowie, MD 20716
Fee: $1 + Can good or $2 at the gate or $3 for advanced reservation for groups(reservation has to be paid in advance as well)
Food: Provided by the stadium, expensive I know
Tents: Looks to be allowed this time around.

They have a flyer up if you guys want to do a quick search for it. Found it all over on college park tuning forum. I'm looking to attend even though I work the night prior. I was hoping we could get a bunch of us to go down like we planned on last year so I will at least start an active list.

Meeting Spots Prior to Show
Leaving Starbucks at Bowie Town Center at 11:00 AM.

Parking lot BEHIND Starbucks at Bowie Town Center
Starbucks
3924 Town Center Boulevard
Bowie, MD 20716

Leaving the Hillandale Safeway at 9:45 AM for Bowie Town Center.

Leaving Ziki Japanese Restaurant at I-370 West of I-270 at 9:10 AM for the Hillandale Safeway.

Anyone can meet at any of these locations as you wish. It would be best though that everyone meet at the Starbucks before 11am so we can have everyone together to ride in together.

I think they learned a huge lesson last year and should not have this problem again.

Last year, I coordinated a reserved parking area for MACA. I help do this again this year if there is enough interest.

I think it will be fun. Way more with a big MACA group rolling in together.

I would love to tag along... BTW, what happened last year?

Basically because of the huge success with the turnout the years prior they were looking for a bigger venue than umd. They were suppose to have it at fed ex field last year but they dropped the ball working at the logistics and cost and basically cancelled it the night prior leaving very little time for anyone and many pissed off at the lack of organization

Only advice I have is to arrive before 9 as there is only one way in and the same way out. Also, get n the paved lot or you'll be dusting off your car all day.

Wow.....The University of Maryland has to move their own car show off campus?? They can absorb parking needs for 60,000 football fans in the fall, but can't handle 1,000 cars at a show??? Sad......

This was the first event I went to in November, 2003 after I bought my 03' Cobra. There were about 50 cars there, most all American muscle. They did it twice a year then: once in the fall and once in the spring. The spring, 2004 event was the one that really kicked off the MACA. TRBO VNM and I cruised in together and met Redfire Venum, Hisssnsvt, ScottinSSMD, Dolemite, dkscobra2003, and Antex for the first time. To say it's changed a bit would be an understatement.

Never been really big on the foreign influence at this show now, but MACA has had a blast meeting up, driving to, and crusin after this show. We've actually used it more as an excuse to get together! Lot of great memories......Had 8 Cobras in 2004, 11 in 2005, 22 in 2006, and 37 in 2007......!! You guys shoudl shoot for 40 this year! Would be a total blast....And not like MACA doesn't have enough Cobras driving around to get 40+.....
