My buddies (0boost) GT500 2014 Bone stock racing a bolt-on LS3 Vette with these mods, LTS, stock x, borla (axle-back), n20 and no passenger. We know the vettes shot is between a 100 and 200. That's all we know on the n20 on the vette, the GT500 dyno and race is in the vids bellow.

I'd like to know why, on a warm motor no pulls, pull 1 was 50tq less than pull 2 and the only difference was a minute.

Must've been a 175 shot, that wasn't even close. He had a 700-800lb weight advantage and within 25rwhp.

Did you race off the bottle for comparison sake?

Warm motor, cool clutch. That or tire spin.

As for it not pulling to 7k and/or feeling flat... What were your downstream temps?

I'm on 315 NT05R's and possible tire spin on dyno... It seemed it might have slipped but no adjustments to the straps were made.

IAT's were showing 58 degrees. I'm not data logging so I don't know what down stream temps are.

DFW people don't talk numbers... just the way it is.

Taking a stock car into a situation like that is like bringing a knife to a gunfight. The guy you're racing can easily find out what a stock GT500 puts down and adjust his n20 jetting. I think it would have been close were he on a 150 shot.

Bolt on ls3 with long tubes would be 475-ish flywheel throw in the auto and maybe 420rwhp without heads or cam. Add the 175 shot and he'd be right at 600.

If he knew about the race in advance he probably ran a 250-shot for this race. Otherwise it's not adding up.

Supposedly his setup doesn't go above 200... but stock bottom end on those cars can handle 700whp. I think he was at least doing a 150 shot. Maybe more. He hit me up that night already prepared.

He was ready for you and had the n2o on kill mode, 200+. He's probably seen the vids of Vettes getting railed by 13/14 GT500s. Ditch your passenger next time you run a Vette if you can.

if the vette had 600 rwhp that race would have been much much worse. Your average 600ish rwhp GT500 is going to trap mid to high 120's. A 600+ rwhp vette can trap 140. Looks like that vette was 132-134 trap. i'd guess 520-540 rwhp. probably 150 crank hp shot.

Think about it their are plenty of threads on here and vids on youtubes about stock C6 Z06 vs stock 13/14 GT500 and the general consensus that it is a drivers race with a slight edge to the 500. Well C6 Z's make 450 rwhp. I would say 100-150 shot max. Not many people run huge shot's on the C6's the manifold can be prone to puddling. I was running 175 rwhp shot on my old vette and i was like one of three guys doing it on corvetteforum

my GT500 has almost as much hp and is a lot lighter and my 515 rwhp vette eats it exactly like that.
