I sold my 2012 a year a go. Been trying to be patient for the 2015. However the discounts right now on the 2014 is really got me rethinking everything.

I can get a base 5.0 w brembo, 373 gears, and recaros for 30,343! Zero percent financing!

Or wait a few months and get the same options in 2015 for 37k and probably pay 3.99 percent financing.

I'm struggling!!!

To me.. Thats a no brainier... Go for the 2014. Zero % sounds really good to my wallet!

I would pass on the zero percent and take all of the rebate money. Zero is only good if you are going to take it to term. If your credit is good, you can still get a great rate (maybe 2-3%) while taking thousands more in rebates lowering your principal amount. This might allow you to be able to trade out relatively easily in a year and jump into a 15'. Just my .02

I was thinking of doing the same a few months back, as there was an additional $1000 rebates on premium cars. The only thing that held me back was finding a base 400a car, and everything out there seemed to have a $38k+ MSRP.
The msrp of the car is 36915, and getting it for 30,343 plus zero percent.

Are you saying I'm not getting all the rebates as well?

Correct. If you are taking the 0%, then you are utilizing FMCC's rate incentive over some additional rebate money. While there may be some rebate in combination with the 0%, there is more rebate money if you opted finance at standard rates.

As mentioned earlier, you can probably obtain a rate of 2-3% for the same term if you credit is good. The interest would be minimal per month, and would take a long time to benefit over the additional $1000-$2000 rebate that you may be giving up. If you decided to trade or sell the car next year, your principal amount would be lower. If you are going to keep it for the full 60 months, then yes 0% is the way to go.

Interesting. I'll ask tomorrow if there are any further rebates if I remove the zero percent. But I'm pretty sure that everything was rebated to the max at that price.

Ask to see the "Vincent". This will layout all rebates and special offers available in your area and are vin specific. There is always Retail Cash/Rebates as well as Special APR offers.

FMC will combo some rebate money with the APR offer and usually call it Bonus Cash or FMC Bonus Cash, but there is always a higher amount of rebates if you don't take the APR.

Special APR

Requirements and Restrictions:
$2000 Customer Retail Cash may not be combined with 0% - 1.9% APR. Must finance through Ford Motor Credit Company.

The '14's should be considered for the savings.

I was upside down on a '13 3.7 premium about 4k (carried over 1.5k from another car and no down payment). With D plan plus 3k in rebates to help with me being upside down, my 14 GT M6 Premium with comfort package only cost 35,800 out the door. Not bad being that upside down. That's what enabled the move.

Anyone know what the current ford rebates are on 14s?

Looks like $3000 rebate or $1000 and 0% for your zipcode. They previously had an additional $1000 for premium cars but don't know if that is still going.
