So after a lot of frustration I finally got my 2015 recaros to fit into my 2012 with no airbag light. I honestly wouldn't go through the hassle again but figured i would share for anyone thinking about trying it themselves. First I had to take the plastic pieces off the front of the seat brackets. Then I had to cut off the metal nipples from the rear brackets with a dremel. Also had to cut off the front metal brackets completely At this point the seats would bolt into the car with the rear brackets. Next I had to make brackets for the fronts. I bought a 2x2 L shaped piece of steel from Lowes. It was a few feet long. Also got 4 bolts with washers and matching nuts tp secure the brackets to the seat track. Just a warning, I'm not very handy so my work isn't the best haha, but it got the job done and no one has noticed. From here, the seats was fully bolted in. I then soldered a 2ohm resistor to each of the factory airbag sensors to stop the light. Then realized that I would need the main wiring harness from my stock seats so sadly had to take the seats back out. First I removed the main harness and seat belt from the 15 seats. Then did the same with my 2012 stock seats. I swapped over the passenger side bladder and also the seat belt onto the new seats. Then connected all of the 2012 harnesses and ziptied the now unused sensors (old seats were power). The last thing i had to transfer from the 2012 seats was the seat position sensor. It's magnetized and only connected by a few screws. Finished Product! For all I know I'm probably forgetting a few things, but as I remember I'll add them in.
