That guys zr1 is nasty. As someone else said, it's take down some impressive cars.

Mike’s LMR ZR1 gets it. GT500 was impressive as well. It will only get better from here. The ZR1 power advantage seems to make up for the DCT from the 500, it was barely noticeable that the A8 was the slower trans.

Damn cam only and it gapped the gt500 that bad! And on 93 octane! Lol. Thought it would’ve been closer than that since some guys been saying the gt500 is faster stock.

Claiming “fastest gt500 in the country” is rather amusing considering not many people have them yet. The Zr1 sounds nooiice!

There is a an 800 lbs weight difference..... Thought the GT500 did pretty well.

More like 500...3600 vs 4100

The zr1 may be cammed but its on straight 93 where as the GT500 is on E. With forced induction that is huge. Put that Vette on E and it would’ve been ugly.

But in all honesty, I think the GT500 held it’s own all things considered. Two different weight classes of cars. And if any of you GT500 nut swingers agree with that, just remember the GT500 and Hellcats/Redeyes have the same weight difference.

GT500 did just fine. No shit it is going to lose to a cammed ZR1. A smaller pulley will put them at half a car length. Not bad.

Pump 93, starting in 3rd gear and a massive aero disadvantage due to the ZTK package for the ZR1.

Weight disadvantage and limited mods for the GT500.

Both were very impressive in their own right.

This.

He mentioned he had limited traction in third and would prefer to start in second.

Had he been able to, the 500 pulling a bit on the initial hit would disappear.

Be all vette from the word go.

Video sucks IMO. Till 12:00.

Waiting patiently for TCM to be unlocked. No excuses are the best excuses

No, the car weighs 4100 without driver and a half tank of gas. An average male driver will weigh 200 lbs. Thats 4300+ lbs. The ZR1 weighs 3350 and another 200 lbs for driver. That's 700-800 lbs. Not anywhere near 500 lbs.

GM shows a curb weight of 3560 for the coupe, which is right in line with 3600lb estimate. I'm afraid your math is the inaccurate one here.

3800lbs vs 4300lbs = 500lbs.

Guess he forgot the driver...... The 500 is like a week old now lol. Wait till ppl start tweaking these just like they did the old 500's. They're gonna be 9 second daily drivers that ride amazingly well. Such an amazing platform. Bet that motor holds 1200 hp.

I agree man, the 20' GT500 is an animal and I can't wait to see it's full potential unlocked. In due time for sure.

Ummmm yea..... no one is debating the weight of the Zr1. Ur forgetting to add 200 lbs to the 4100 lb GT500 u quoted as weighing.

I think 4200lb car with pulley and midpipe did pretty well against 3600lb car with $20K LMR1000 package- full boltons , exhaust, ported blower ,/throttle body and cam
